Kumon (Is living fire)

Has anyone been to kumon before? Let me tell you it is living h**l. Most of the times, people are basically forced into a lousy program from their parents. Kumon gives terrible packets, moves you really slow, and no one bothers to teach you subjects correctly. Along with repetition and boring packets, kumon triggered so much stress for me.

"Whoops, you missed 5 problems, time to repeat some sheets!" That's the time where you cry and curse yourself in misery. I am glad I quit and I daresay, kumon screams for parent's money.

Anyone else ever joined this terrible program? Admittedly, kumon helped me stay on an academic track but other than that.... Anyways, thanks for reading my rant .

I never relied on academic programs, I just learned everything on the spot as a kid. Kinda wierd but it's been my strongest skill thus far. I never would've assumed that programs such as Kumon would be such a terrible experience, I thought they would just kinda make you a better student by more.... resilient ways. Well I guess what you see is not always the truth, but then again who really needs those programs?

I totally agree with you. My parents forced me to be in Kumon to be "ahead". Ironically, after I stopped kumon, I got the so called "ahead". These type of programs are good for a small amount of time, and for a person who really needs help in academics. Other than that, it lags someone behind. Kumon can be helpful, but only for the ones who are dedicated. Those who are forced will never do well.
