Light Novel Recommendations

Hello Guys!

Sorry if this thread exist somewhere in the forum but I couldn't look deep enough to find one.

I was just wondering if anyone read light novels and could recommend me some, preferably ones with English transliterations. Tell me about light any novel you like and what made you interested and hooked to it. I have one but I wanna hold on until someone has said it so I can discuss with them XD.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. I got into it because I loved the anime adaptation, but the books are pretty fun to read too when you want a simple time-killing novel. Some of the first-person narration lines in the English translation are slightly annoying (the ones where Kyon expresses his shock at something Haruhi does or says) because they always end in exclamation marks, which takes the edge off. But otherwise, they're great and the translation is 9/10

Thanks! I'll consider picking them up! I remember my cousin was really into it when the second season was airing. We both lived at our grandmother's because it was close to our prep school and there was a crisis when the internet was painfully slow. A reason why I barely complain about internet speed is because I feel like I have experienced one of the worse because loading 2 seconds of a youtube video took a good half hour -.-'

It was even more painful for him because he was trying to watch the series when it was in it's endless eight arc so every time he finished an episode, he was even more frustrated.

Just a funny little story.
