So little Mac... A month ago I put down Mac and turned to falcon due to slot if people calling me "cheap" by using him. When he was announced in smash I was excited, I loved punch out I was really excited about him in the game. But I turned to falcon afterwards due to his cheapness. But no more shall I let little Mac stare at me in the roster with his happy face never seeing te light of the smashing game. So I'm picking up Mac again ad taking him to compettitive with me.

It's just like punch out, little Mac avoided the fact that he was small and not fit for the big leagues but look what he did. So now I will make Mac a compettitive player #macisback!

Now any ideas how to do that???

Well I don't have any but check out ZeRo's youtube channel he did a For Glory episode as Little Mac you can probably pick up a few tips from him

I saw his video on the nair footstool combo it was awsome, but thanks I'm still learning big people in the car comoettitive community so thanks for giving me somebody :)

Little Mac IS a very competitive character in Smash if you use his advantages at the right moment . He is more powerful on the ground than in the air because most of his air combos suck so using Little Mac on the ground is more effective and dangerous . He's not "cheap"

Even though Little Mac is a character as cheap as cheap can get, he does have disadvantages and advantages.
Advantages:
  • Really powerful dash attack
  • VERY quick dash
  • Invincible Counter
  • KO Pawnch
  • Insanely powerful smash attacks, especially forward smash
  • Hold-down A jab combo -_-
Disadvantages:
  • The worst recovery moves in the game
  • Has almost no power in the air
  • Neutral-B has the highest end-lag out of any move in game.
  • Slow mid-air movement.
You see what I mean? Mac is cheap, but you can EASILY stop him in his tracks by doing shield-to-grabs and throwing him off stage.
I have KO'ed Mac at 45, because what I did is stay near the edge, shield, and simply throw him off. He tried to come back, I id a front-air with Marth, and he fell to the abyss. GG no re m8

Little mac has terrible recovery as you may very well know. His neutral b takes timing and has a cool down which can leave opponents an opening. Try and play center stage and only play off the edge when you know what you're doing. Know Mac's limits in terms of air time. This is how I can keep players away with Marth. I trained enough to know his recovery boundaries.

His recovery options are limited, maybe even enough to have to depend on specials to get back on stage. His main defense is not flinching during smashes and an array of quick moves. However he doesn't last long so you have to predict and know what you're doing to win. Also don't waste your KO punch. If you miss you are wide open for a punish.

Little Mac has a good potential to become competitive, but many players uses him wrong by spamming attacks, or sucking with him. My advice is: Stay on the ground! Little Mac has no good aerial attacks, but his ground attacks deal a lot of damage. And please don`t spam his dash attack...

Little mac is a great character in everything except Recovery and Defense. Other than that, He is a great charachter and he is really fun to use. I do wish they had more characters from punch out!!!.

Little Mac is a good character, but has a poor recovery. He doesn't jump very high and his up b doesn't help very much so you have to be very lucky to return to the stage without dying. However, he makes up for the recovery with having quick dashes, powerful smash attacks and even having the super armor ability.

Little Mac is decent on the ground but he lacks ability in the air since he has mediocre jumps and horrible recovery. He is a powerhouse for his size, but he is also a lightweight and can be sent flying to the point of no return. Little Macarena balanced though, not too balanced in my opinion.

With everything he has, I don't recommend using the Side B at all. It's too dangerous with not much of a good reward.

It can KO at higher percentages and it comes out fast. It has properties just like Ganondorf's side special. Would you recommend Ganondorf's side special? I think that's an important more for Ganondorf especial when reading someone who likes to shield. You just have to take that risk.
