In Fire Emblem 7, what if Merlinus the merchant is the father of Mario? Think about it, we never see Mario and Luigi's parents in Mario games. So what if to escape the Mushroom Kingdom from its tyrannical rule(watch the Game Theory about Toad to know what I'm talking about) Merlinus went through a dimensional pipe to find a new kingdom to serve and leas a new life. It states in Fire Emblem 7 that Merlinus always wanted to serve a lord, but what if there's more to that? Maybe thats his dream becuse to escape the wrath of Princess Peach and serve a kind and fair ruler, like Lord Eliwood. So thats a theory I thought of. And maybe thats why Merlinus never mentions his family.

But i thought that if we didn't see the brothers' parents in Mario games, isn't it because they were not born in the Mushroom Kingdom, but fell in a pipe to there? Their parents aren't there.

I would say that is really an interesting theory that you made there but I wouldn't be too sure about if that could possibly be any true but to be honest I think I really began laughing when thinking that what IF it was true . Well a theory is still just a theory so who knows

That is one awesome theory but it is untrue. If you loook in yoshi's island, you can see that mario and lugi are delivered to the mushroom kingdom o it is not true. Play yoshi's island ds and you will notice that they are delivered to the mushroom kingdom. I really have no clue what happened to them, they probably left their parents. Well, a game theory is just a theory.
