I had all my new dlc characters from the Super Smash Bros. 4 game with all the dlc maps. All of a sudden i dont have them anymore and i have to start all over in paying for them again. It really stinks! I was so happy to get Cloud Strife. But oh well, I dont mind using Shulk.

You should contact Nintendo about that.

Are you using the same 3ds system? Pretty sure dlc doesn't transfer over. If not maybe you messed with some system setting and deleted the data for smash dlc, in which case just redownload it?

You should be able to re-download them, right? Anyway you should give more information about your situation. Contact Nintendo if all else fails and be sure to know any relevant things that they may ask. Purchases should be linked to you Nintendo Network ID >.<

Explain better the scenario

3DS or Wii U?

Remember that if you put your Disc/Cartridge of SSB in other console, your DLC are not going to be there

You install the DLC in your console, not in your game

You shouldn't pay more if you have already purchased a dlc that you already owned because purchases are linked into your Nintendo Account. You should be able to redownload them regardless if it's deleted or not. Remember that WiiU and 3Ds download are completely different & can't be transferred over unless you purchased both consoles versions of DLCs.

can i get the website to report to nintendo about this problem? this happened to me to

Actually, in the case with the cartridge, the data stays. Think of it as a memory card for the GameCube.

Let me explain. Sm4sh DLC is in two parts.

The update is what comes with all the content, characters, stages, music, yoi name it, that can be downloaded, while the actual DLC you buy is a ticket saying "you bought X, Y and Z"

Both are saved on the 3DS's SD card.

If you tampered with the SD card, formatted your 3DS, are using the gamecard on another console and so on, you won't be able to use the DLC.

Yes the data stays in the cartridge, but not the DLC's, these are installed in the console/SD card, not in the cartridge
