LostWinds is a down to earth, small adventure that uses the power of a Wind Spirt to fly through the story. As the game will be done fairly quick.

Developer: Frontier Developments

+Great sensation of gliding and flying achieved
-The fun ends too quickly

Game Objective: The story behind LostWinds follows Toku, a tiny boy, who is guided by the powerful wind spirit, Enril, who is on a quest to stop Balasar, an evil being causing mayhem to the world.

Gameplay: The game is played by moving Toku around the small world and with his wind powers. The player can fly up, down and glide for short periods of time to reach interesting places and find collectibles. There is minimal combat, little pieces of Balasar himself attack Toku, but these enemies can be easily taken out by a force of wind. Flying around feels slightly euphoric and does not get old through the whole game, which flying is mainly used to solve puzzles to move on through the story.

Graphics & Music: The game looks very polished. Character models are at Wii level at max but no where near the boxy graphics of the N64. The frame rate and animations flow very well and no lag was experienced throughout the entire play through, which is expected since this a single player game. The music feels very Native American and calming. It's an original soundtrack that fits the old time period of the game very well.

Replayability & Fun Moments: After the game is beat, the game reverts back to its 'pre beat' status like Zelda games often do. There is basically nothing to do after the game is beat besides finish collecting the collectibles which most are found normally through a playthrough. The game is about two-three hours long and can easily be beaten in one sitting. The most fun part of the game is upgrading wind abilities, to increase flight duration. Otherwise most of the game feels a tad bit like work, going through the somewhat bland and easy puzzles. Indie lovers and those wanting more of the game, there is a sequel which can extend the replayability, in a separate game.
