if you want to learn to use lucas than you gotta be good with ness because there almost clone copes of each other wo pk flash is gonna be pk freeze with lucas and his pk thunder wont go away when you hit a ememyand lucas is probably gonna be slighty stronger than ness
 
More on Lucas, he has a fairly better air game compared to Ness, his neutral air covers range and does lots of damage. Back air can spike which is flat out amazing. Also Lucas has amazing grab range with the Rope Snake and his down throw combos well too.
 
Lucas and Ness are pretty similar in many terms , but as np said , Lucas does have more options when it comes to air combos and Lucas is very strong in terms of combos . Ness is good as well , but doesn't really possess that usability when it comes to combos that Lucas can do .

Lucas and Ness are basically clones, but they are different than you think. To what I can remember from Brawl, Lucas is stronger than Ness amd has a better aerial attacks. He has a longer grab range than Ness. His PK thunder is stronger and faster than Ness's. His PK fire does not constantly hit an opponent and his PSI magnet only absorbs things in front of him.
 
Lucas has a better time recovering with his PkT2, while Ness doesn't. Lucas has better combos and hosted more power than Ness while Ness is sub par with it. Also, Lucas's stick a lot faster and has a sweet spot at the center while at the tip of Ness's bat deal more damage.
 
Lucas is like an upgraded version of Ness, with better airgame and doing combos are Ness could never match up to :p Lucas can recover well, much better than Ness. Also, I think that everybody, even the most pro gamers using Rosalina, wiill lose to any Lucas user because they are scared of the new addition and are hyped for it :p
 
Lucas and Ness are pretty strange characters. Lucas has stronger moves that Ness doesn't have, but Ness has stronger moves Lucas doesn't have and they vary a bit in terms of combo moves. Lucas's main combo attack in the air is nair while Ness's main combo attack in the air is fair. Both have quick kinda short range jabs. Lucas up special hits multiple times and keeps the opponent in the same spot and Ness's is just a poke that knocks opponents a little bit. Lucas has faster specials in general in term of range but they are weaker. Lucas even has spikes/meteor smashes with the last hit of dair and bair. Personally it appears Lucas is easier to use but his good grab range makes him punishable.

Yeah, I totally agree with everything you said. But if i had the chance to choose a main, I think Lucas will be picked because his pros outweigh his cons. Ness's cons outweigh his pros and vice versa.
 
I also forgot to mention Lucas's main kill throw is uthrow much like Ness's main kill throw is bthrow. It appears that Lucas's uspecial has better mobility than Ness's. Also why I think Lucas is a little better than Ness is because of his tether recovery and Lucas's Smashes are stronger or easier to land yet have different coverage compared to Ness's. I also think PK Ffreeze has more use than Ness's specials however Ness has a more useful PK Fire to combo with instead so it's all on personal preference.

Lucas I think is more unbrain dead. All you need with ness is pk fire and grabs. But lucas is more stragetic and more powerful and has some great air game. LOL Ness is soo god damn brain dead and doesnt have any good combos except if they are grab combos but people are pretty good with him and so strong. But ness is still good tho. He does have potential and lucas has potential too!
