Lucas gets banned from apex cause of how new the character is. They say the time Lucas come out no one will have experience, as for mewtwo he's allowed in cause he joins the fight in April instead of June like Lucas. They also said that he will be able to be playable next year. That sucks Lucas fans.
 
I never really liked Lucas that much any way, (sorry anyone who I have offended, but that is my opinion) if Lucas is paid dlc then I will not buy him, unlike mewtwo which I can't wait for as I love pokemon and defiantly will be buying it when it comes out.
 
Any links to confirming this ? :p Well if that is true than that would be pretty bad but I really liked playing Lucas in Smash Brawl and though I would say that he wasn't my best of the best characters , he was pretty cool . So I want to see the proof of this with links :p
 
Well it makes sense, because no one will be able to use Lucas effectively so they couldn't use pro techniques .
 
Yea it sucks that Lucas won't be playable at EVO 2015. He seems to be greatly buffed from brawl, it's a shame that he gets released so late that there isn't time to try him out before EVO 2015. Lucas combos in HD tournaments will have to hold off until 2016 :/
 
aww man! i was looking forward to buying lucas as a dlc. i think he would have been a great fighter in super smash bros 4. he would probably be really strong and great attacks. i wonder if he is just a ness clone? i also want lucas because i love earthbound.
 
It certainly does seem to be a downer for all of the Lucas mains that are planning to enter the tournament. I'd say that apex's reasoning behind their decision is fair enough, although some avid Lucas fans would differ simply because of their bias for Lucas as a smash character lol. xD
 
It must suck who ever tried very hard to be a master with lucas and is very skilled and just knows everything about lucas in and out. And they were planning on oing to the tournament anyways
