Lucas or ness

Lucas and ness may seem like clones but they are two different characters with their own strengths and weaknesses. I myself prefer Lucas but others like ness. I would like to hear your opinion on the characters.
What do you like and what do you not.

I prefer Lucas since he doesn't feel as stiff as Ness and has better qualities imo
 
Lucas is great for doing grab combos and air movement. Ness is good for...well...PK Fire and off stage maneuvers. The main challenge about learning these two is recovery but once you get that down they can be really good
 
Ness is a lot more stronger in his movesets than Lucas. His Side-Smash, PK Flash, and his back-throw makes him get kills rather more quickly than Lucas compared to the equivalent moves in my opinion. Lucas, however, an be really devastating in combos.

While both are clones, their moves have lots of different properties :p
I don't have Lucas tho ;_; I think he's a lot more fun to play xD
 
And to elaborate on what I said earlier, What I mean by Stiff is that Ness's smash attacks are a bit "awkward" for me, and doesn't have that many combos. His special also leave in vulnerable for many things. Lucas however, has better movement and better distancing options. Also has smaller end lay with moves.
 
I think Lucas is better. In brawl I would always make Lucas cpu
 
Lucas and ness both have their strongs and weaks, but overall they're basically the same.
 
I think Lucas is a bit better because he has stronger smashes, an extra air move (Z-air), and more useful aerials. Also you can recover with his Z-air instead of having to use your Up-B. Ness just has a better combo game with forward air and a longer range dash attack. Lucas has the better specials because they are quicker but Ness can use PK fire to get a free grab.
 
I feel ness is better because ye can edgeguard better, kill quicker, and the yo-yo comes in handier the lucas dsmash. But lucas has w better zair and his grab has more range but ness has a better pummel so really, it's your opinion.

I like Lucas better than Ness. I don't know why, I just feel a little more comfortable when using him.

I like Lucas the most because he's recovery goes more farther than Ness's, and I can also use the snake to grab the ledge.
two spike options.
plus, Lucas's PSI-Magnet is fun :3

I like both but out of them both Lucas is better since he has a better recovery over Ness but you need to practice with Lucas to be able to fully master him will with Ness he is more of a start of character and spam with a base ball bat type. So for me I choose both but the real best player is SHULK!!!!!!!!!!! so that's my opinion okey and have a nice day and may your body be Reggie!

I prefer Lucas in Brawl/PM but Ness rose up for me in Sm4sh. Probably because I naturally ended up with more time with Ness pre-Lucas, so perhaps over time Lucas will come back for me over time.

I would say Lucas is better than Lucas because its basically a better version of ness. Lucas's moves are stronger than ness's and I also have to say that I bet that you can do better combos than ness's. Also I like his side b because it freezes the opponents which lets you go and attack them without them attacking you. He is better than ness without a doubt. If I had to bet all my money on one of them it would be Lucas for sure.

Lucas has cooler hair. His forward air, back air, and down-b look more appealing than Ness's to me.

Personally I think that both Ness and Lucas are great characters in their own style,because I main both of them and I don't see who's better or not because honestly I just love their game series and the play style .3.:thumbsup:

As the Hacker Silver said Lucas has cooler hair. His forward air, back air, and down-b look more appealing than Ness's to me. Plus Sakurai likes Lucas more than Ness so he agrees with us. I also think Lucas is stronger than Ness because of well I don't know when I play him in Brawl he always seems stronger than Ness. Ness is the hero in Solo mode but Lucas didn't show his true power.

Ness and Lucas are kinda similar, but they have a huge difference:

Both are heavy grab based character, having amazing combos out of grabs and quite good kills

But guess what?, one of them has a nice grab, and the other one... not that much

One is top tier, the other barely mid tier... take your guesses

i dont play as ness or lucas but my little brother tells me about them all the time and from what i can tell lucas is better then ness.

i think that lucas and ness are the same because the have similar attacks but thier grabs , their taunting and their looks differs . Also i lucas is a dlc character so the must be some thing added to him with makes lucas more stronger than ness if not so lucas is not so important to buy .I prefer most lucas than ness.
