Lets talk about Magikarp!! We all know Magikarp is usless! What are your thoughts on magikarp?? why does magikarp even exist?? I personly only like magikarp because he evolves into gyarados!! he is so useless!

I love Magikarp because it proves that you don't need to evolve it for it to be strong and win against other Pokémon.

And it's treated like the underdog of Pokémon, just because it flops, splashes, and flails doesn't mean it's a bad Pokémon. :)

Not mention Magikarp did defeat Ash and Dawn

Plus everyone only loves Magikarp when it's gold it doesn't have to be gold for me to love it.:D

^ So true :'D

Anyway, many people say that Magikarp is weak or useless but it'll murder people with flails and splashes! I think Magikarp is a very unique Pokemon because it knows Splash and doesn't know any other attack until level fifteen or something. So don't underestimate the power of Magikarp! It'll splash in your blood! <---- ignore the last sentence :p

No, I actually like Magikarp, I love how funny he looks, he can survive also into dirty water, he looks weak but then he evolves into Gyraados, he proves how also the the weakest person can become strong, I love also his origins, based on a chinese legend that says that if a carp (Magikarp) go through a waterfall, it will become a dragon (Gyarados)

I love magikarp too this is just what I don't like about magikarp.

That pokemon is probally the most useless

I imagine Magikarp exists to be that Pokemon that seems utterly useless but if you put enough hard work into lvling it up, your hard work will be rewarded when it evolves into a Gyarados which can give the player a sense of satisfaction they may not have gotten from raising another Pokemon.

Two words: "Screw Magikarp." There are only three reasons I keep it around. One is so I can switch it out and get XP for it so it can become a Gyarados. That is, if I can't find one with a Good Rod. Two is so I have a Dummy Pokémon to trade when I get a Pokémon from an auction. Three is for obviously PokéDex reason. Even in Pokémon Conquest, I only went to battle with it is so it can become a Gyarados. Sorry to those who respect it but screw that Pokémon.

Magikarp is basically the counterpart with Feebas, however, in Magikarp's case, the creators were intent on making THE biggest joke of a Pokemon, or joke of any kind, in the entire series! What I mean by that is, Gyarados has one of the highest base stat totals of all two-evolution Pokemon! That's why they decided to make it so the transition from Magikarp to Gyarados was incredibly drastic, thus the Pokemon we all know, hate, but still love, came to be! However, the joke hasn't even come yet! Magikarp can hardly battle, making really hard to train alone. If anyone in real life pictured themselves as one, they would say this afterwards: "It's so freaking maddening and annoying being a Magikarp". Meaning that it's BOUND to be mad at EVERYONE deep within and, when it finally evolves, it becomes the "Atrocious Pokemon", because of all that bottled-up anger that is suddenly released! And here comes the joke, Gyarados is classified as the "Atrocious Pokeomon", the first move it can learn it Thrash, but it CAN'T learn Rage! See the joke? Finally, I totally agree with Mikaya on the Splashing in your blood! A certain Person here on the pedia uses an eviolite Magikarp and theirs has even taken down a Ho-oh from what I heard!

Magillarp is underrated flail is actually a decent attack under circumstances. Add that to the fact that it goes from near useless to a great team benefit in just one evolution, it's amazingly easy to catch, and you have a pretty nice Pokemon. Not to mention that you can do some gimmicky stuff to sweep with it online.
