I found some pretty neat facts about the 3DS version of Majora's Mask that will be released in Spring, 2015.

In a post on the Miiverse, Zelda series producer (and Majora's Mask's original director) Eiji Aonuma shared some details about the upcoming remake.

You can check out the full post here where Aonuma writes, "The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D was actually in development almost immediately after we finished working on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, which was released in June of 2011."

Aonuma also detailed, in a very ambiguous way, some of the changes that will be coming to the game for its re-release. "We didn't want to say it was being developed until we were at a point where we could proudly say that this is not going to be just another remake and that it's going to be worth your time," Aonuma writes. He follows up with more saying, "We’ve spent a lot of time making sure the gameplay experience is smoother than in the original version without taking away from this unique world. I hope those that haven’t played the original game, and those of you that played it but gave up mid-way through will take this opportunity to give the new version a try."

Finally Aonuma ends with, "When it's closer to its release date, I’ll talk more about what has been changed in the Nintendo 3DS version and its new features right here in this [Miiverse] community, so stay tuned!"
What do you guys think? Are you stunned by these discoveries? Personally, I am. I am shocked at how early then started work on Majora's Mask 3D. I also am looking forward to the changes that are going to be implemented.

I'm interested. I mean it's incredible that they started development way before we actually thought they had. Anouma just kept putting off the idea "for later." I'd love to see some of the new implements. Maybe we will actually have a useful saving system.

I know, right? It's actually really surprising, they kept the development so private. It's like they were trapping gas in a bottle, and then finally let it loose. I'd love to see the saving system improved. It really sucked when you were in a dungeon and had to stop playing, and when you saved, it would take you back to the entrance when you resumed.

Im not so smart at Technology stuff, but I tought of something. Since they used Three years making majoras mask 3d, they must have added a lot. I mean, they already had the program they used for oot 3d, and it looks like they are using the same program to mm 3d. So it wouldnt take up to Three years to release an already produced game if they havent added New stuff, like sidequests and possible New Dungeons maybe?

I doubt that is going to be the case, but it is possible. I hope they were adding some sort of Multiplayer feature, as Zelda games have a really nice combat system. It could also be a new dungeon, or more quests.. etc.

Everyone expected a remake of Majoras Mask after Ocarina of Time. I think that Nintendo kept it a secret because they didn't want to be predictable. Also, since the game has been in development since 2011 and its coming out in 2015, I think that they didn't want Zelda fans to be anxious for the game so they sort of helped.

For the majoras mask remake, i figured it would be cool to make more sidequests. That means more masks and gear like swords and upgrades and all that. And even better graphics than ocarina of time 3d. Anyone agree?
