To be exact, here's a quote:

Specifically speaking, parts that were conventions and weren’t explained at all are changed, and challenges which you realize by repeating many times are made easier to understand

Many bosses and challenges have been modified to make the game easier and appeal to a younger audience.
But let's face it, I have a feeling that if an 8 year old is hyped for Majora's Mask, they obviously don't know what they are getting into.

Anyway, a boss has been modified to have an eye in his mouth an woah I had no idea after playing 80 Zelda games I have to hit the eye.

What do you think?

Honestly I'm happier that the puzzles are better. Puzzles were never the highlight to me in Zelda games. Plus a little more direction as to what to do is sort of appreciated. Sometimes the game gets a little vague on what exactly you need to go or where you need to go.

It's been so long since the last time I played that game that maybe I won't even notice what is different =/

I love Zelda games, but there are two games that I don't get on well with, one of them is the ocarine of time, which unfortunately I was never able to finish, and the other one was Majora's Mask, which I thought if ocarine of time was somehow difficult this one will be even much harder. But to be honest I am really excited about the announcement of this latter game for the 3ds and thanks to nintendo the puzzles will be easier

I'll be honest; I found the original pretty hard, and I'm glad to hear the remake will be easier. This will probably encourage me to get the game now, clever Nintendo. xD

Well, it is just a remake, so I don't many people buying the game if they have already played it. Since they have played it, they would know all the secrets and stuff. So I guess it is trying to get younger audiences in as well, but not make it too hard so that they guve up on the game.

Even people who've played the original may decide to buy it because of updated graphics and the nostalgia factor. It's kind of like how pokemon remakes can be successful even if a lot of it is the same thing as the original.

On the bright side, The remake will also have fishing which was not seen in the original so even if you are unhappy about the boss fight modifications, you get a little something to make up for it ;-)

"So we've added fishing ponds. Two of them, too. There might be something monstrous you could fish out, so please look forward to it." Why do I suddenly have the suspicion that they may have made the 3rd boss fight easier by making it possible to fish him out?

I don't really think this should be a problem to anybody. If you are new to Majora's mask, this will help you to not get stuck for hours and quit. If you already played the games, the puzzles would be a little different, so it would kinda/not really give you almost new puzzles. If you don't like it you could always go back and play the original anyway.

I'm kind of glad the puzzles are easier cause when I started Majora's Mask the moon freaked me out and I didnt know where to go to beat the first boss. XP

Awww...the biggest part of my Majora's Mask childhood is the frustration and challenge...water temple I'm looking at you!!!:rage: This can be a good thing though, because then younger audiences can get into the MM swing of things, when the original, as we all know, was impossible for all children, pretty much.

When I first heard the news, I was kind of upset, then I realized that it makes sense, because Majora's Mask is probably the hardest 3d Zelda. If it's too easy I can always just play on my n64

I guess the original is hard because you were still a kid back then. But now, most of us are experienced gamers so the game would feel like it's easy to beat. But that's just me.

Yipee! Another reason to buy the game. Do you know if any of the time limits for doing certain tasks are extended though. I'm a slow dinosaur. It takes me a while to get stuff. I don't want to be stuck on the first part of Majoras mask again like i was on my previous emulator D:

I was honestly pretty sad at first but now I think that it will be more easier as they probably tweaked up the dungeons , puzzles and bosses . I was never able to pass the first part playing it on my computer using an emulator and I will still be excited for this game because I am just getting to know the concepts of the game . I am glad though that they didn't really change most because if so it wouldn't be so appealing to some because many are up to a challenge

The bosses and some challenges have been changed to appeal to a younger audience, one example of this are the eyes that pop out of one of the four bosses, Odolwa was made easier due to this as you could easily use deku nuts from above and slash away, Gyorg's Battle was slightly easier as there was minimal risk in swimming next to it.

I guess that the originals were sort of like tests. They have experimented with them, and try to improve their flaws with the remake, while also lowering their difficulty to make it more appropriate for the younger audience. Also, it seems like EVERY Zelda boss needs to have an eye as a weak spot. It would be better to hit them anywhere when they are vulnerable.
