Hey guys GamerGoldFish here with a glitch for all of you MK7 racers!
Maka Wuhu Shortcut Glitch:
While you are playing on Maka Wuhu, stop right before you enter the first tunnel. There will be an opening on the right just where the fence ends and the tunnel begins. Drive backwards so you are completely turned around and then drive off the edge so you land into the lake. If done correctly, Lakitu will drop you off just before the third checkpoint. This is great for Grand Prix matches because it puts you at least 20 seconds ahead of everyone else. This works specially well for time trials, because you can easily beat all of the expert staff ghosts! Enjoy!

I've done it before and I think the patch made this impossible (because you know if it's unfair and Nintendo finds out about it on the internet something must be done about it and I'm not complaining). I heard out about it somewhere and I tried it out on Time Trials and now I have one of the highest scores I could get (but far from the World Record). If it still works let me know.

It does still work, but only offline.

When this glitch used to work online, I always wondered why are so many people boosting off the cliff and why is my standing progressively getting lower if I passed all of the racers? At one point I decided to try what all of the other racers were doing (without knowing how to correctly execute the glitch) which was a huge time-consumer at first. Then one day I stumbled upon a YouTube video of a person doing the glitch. I learned their ways and instantly became a pro at doing the glitch! It was fun, until version 1.1 hit, forcing you to download it via eShop in order to continue racing. Now, everything is fair and square. Although, from time to time I still see some people trying the glitch online even though it's been patched.

Yes, this glitch has been around since the game released 2 years ago. It was the main reason Nintendo rolled out the patch because it really shortened the track by a lot (and everyone online used to do it). It was pretty funny seeing everyone just jump off the track and was a cool little trick to use. Still though, it needed a patch and I am glad it got one.

Too bad you can't use it online anymore :"( I always enjoyed watching racers attempt it and completely fail! I mastered it and did it like every single time! The the update rolled out and everyone was like noooooooooooooo! ;P :/ so anyways Nintendo jumped on that glitch right away, oh well, I guess thinking back to it it wasn't very fair for peopled who didn't know of it!

The glitch was fixed in online multiplayer through a patch released a long time ago. I might try it on 150cc in offline mode though :sneaky:

IMO the drop-offs always do more good than harm, because I never lost progress when I fell off like half a million times on Rainbow Road :p

in Maka Wuhu, you can still do the glitch in offline and local wireless lol Most tutorials in that map always have a mushroom for the glitch but its doable too without one lol All you need is practice for that glitch to work lol Anyways, I'm glad Nintendo fixed the glitch so players wont have to cut the track by 50% lol.

Maka Wuhu is a easy glitch which I'm glad Nintendo put a stop to it, but why won't they patch Neo Bowser City glitch? Many people were spamming these glitches and making me quit from MK7, I'll be glad Nintendo patch it.
