I have been waiting for a new Mario RPG for a while and I wish if Nintendo made a Mario RPG game with Geno in it and that they polish his look from the old game, that would be pretty cool and I would spend my money for a game like that with new fighting mechanics and more playable characters.

I think that luigi's dream team bros is a fantastic rbg , but it was quite difficult for me.

I personally think there will be new game in the series to come. Nintendo always seems to come up with ideas, look at all the M&L RPG's to date. As @Derplink_:3 said, Geno would be a great playable character to have, and perhaps Mallow as well. It would be great to bring some elements of Super Mario RPG - Legend of the seven stars back into the new game (if there is gonna be one) as it was the start of the whole Mario RPG craze.

I'm sure there will be another near the end of the 3DS' life cycle.

Let's see, we had one where the main mechanic was having baby versions of yourself around (I never actually played it, so I'm just judging by the name and cover art), we had one where you could go inside of Bowser, and we had one where you can go inside of Luigi's dreams.

I can't think of anything. Though I have always felt that game would be suited as a crossover series similar to Project X Zone.

I love the M&L series and I really hope we see another title for the 3ds (or NN3ds) that will be as amazing as the past ones.

I'd love the chance to play as another character again. Returning Bowser would be cool but I'd like a new character.
