It's-a me Mario!

So recently Nintendo announced that Mario is not a Plumber anymore. It may sound weird and you may be confused but it is the truth. Apparently he isn't a plumber because he does "Cool" Things. Them things are obvious actually, Them things are what happen in Mario Kart, Mario Golf, And a bunch others things he does. But just a summary of Mario's Life, in Donkey Kong, you would be at a construction site which means he was a carpenter. In Mario Bros. he was underground and was surrounded by pipes, which would mean he was a Plumber. But even though Mario has many jobs but is known as a Plumber, he is still a lovable character.

Here's a list of Jobs he has or has done in this case.
1. Plumber
2. Carpenter
3. Doctor
4. Professional Racer/Karter
5. Professional Golfer
6. Basketball Player, Football Player, Baseball Player, Soccer Player
7. Swimmer
8. Athletic Runner (Wait Shouldn't Sonic be that :giggle:)
9. Vietnam Soldier (Yes this is true, He was a Soldier in a game called
Mario's Bombs Away
10. A Bunch More but Mario in fact has 50+ Jobs

Here's a little Mario Fact for you if you read this:
Even Though Mario has Many Jobs, He is actually in his Mid-Twenties!

Vietnam soldier lol thats good XD but back on subject here i always thought it was strange he was labelled a plumber to be honest, i never really saw anything to truly prove this in the series to begin with (from what i remember anyhow) so the idea always felt kinda weird to me. I personally looked at him as a character who does all these random things instead of just that so i can't blame nintendo for deciding he isnt a plumber lol. Long story short, i could never make sense out of the idea he was a plumber haha :p

I think Mario used to be a plumber because that's what he does in the past, in the game Mario Bros. and also in the intro of Super Mario 3D World. Even though well, Mario seems to done other things that some may doubt of him being a plumber anymore. However, I would still think of him as a plumber for long even though Nintendo says he's not one anymore.

He isn't a plumber, that was only Super Mario bros ( The arcade one). He was only recognized later as one for going down pipes, and his uses of it in super mario 3d world. He still know these things, and that was his main job. I'm suprised people didn't think he was a carpenter. It is probably since that was what Nintendo always said, so now it's embedded in our minds. Why are they doing this? End of Mario? Mario reboot? Something to do with oddessy, or maybe just a new mario format.

Meh, i think it has more to do with new format since he's already done a bunch of different things through the series in general. While i do agree the subject is kinda weird, i cant say the decision doesn't make sense given what we've seen in the many mario games that have come out and will likely only expand later on.

Eh, he will always be recognized as a plumber by virtue of going through pipes and dressing the part. Even if he doesn't do actual plumbing, that's part of his identity.

I thought we all knew that already. :panda:

He is a man of many talents. What actually made him famous was his girder climbing skills and ability to eat mushrooms to get taller. Nobody really knew about his underground adventures. He is the handyman of the mushroom kingdom, though he has been around the world for various jobs.
