I just found out that Mario Kart 64 has been released for Wii U Virtual Console, but here in the USA we did not yet get a release.

Who is as anxious as I am to get a release?

I'm also worried about this because we got Yoshi's Woolly World very late in 2015.

I'm sure many of you guys who read and reply to this post are also dying to get the game. And it's the only game we're missing because the other Mario Kart games (prior to 7 and 8) are already on Virtual Console.

The only exceptions are Double Dash and Wii; Nintendo has not announced if GameCube games will be in the Wii U Virtual Console, and Wii can be played as part of the Wii Mode of the Wii U (and rumors may later be spread that the latter becomes one of the Wii Software Downloads).

I think it's cool that it's coming on VC - It's like playing a pop-culture history lesson - but nothing beats hard-copies.
Ah... I can still remember taking that huge short-cut in Wario Stadium like it was yesterday. Now I can relive
those days on a better TV screen!

What's the difference between that game and Mario kart 8?

What even! :wtf:
Now that is a question that requires an incredibly long answer. For ease, the wordkey shall be 1 for Mario Kart 64 and 2 for Mario Kart 8.
1 came about over ten years before 2, 1 has scores of different tracks than 2, (although 2 has a few 1 tracks re-done.) there are less drivers in 1 than there are in 2, turning is different between games, as are items, voices, effects, features, ect.
You're basically asking what' was different between present day and the middle-late nineties.

Yup found out that Super Mario 64 is gonna be for the Wii U too. Although it is a unique game than any other Mario Kart game I played before. unlike Super Mario Kart, I can now try again as many times as I wish after I finish in 5th or below (this was removed in later games for unknown reasons, though likely as a means of making the game more challenging for the player). I never was able to do that in any other Mario Kart game before.
