So, i am thinking about buying one of these games but my conflict is most of my irl friends have mk 7 and not 8 and they want to play with me but 8 seems cooler but i dont have money for dlc or friends to play with also i dont know anything about the games except that Mk 8's soundtrack is 3 awesome5 me so pls help me so i can buy something lol almost christmas

if you have a 3ds then you can play her with download play. It's very convenient and there are very few lmitations, it's like having the whole game, you don't actually need a disc.
Plus Mario kart 8 is really fun even without the dlc (i think). I go over to my friend's house and play 8 all the time, and he has no dlc.
You also HAVE to try the new stages, especially the neo bowser stage, it's even better in the wii u version than on mario kart 7.

If you want to go with bigger, better, more content, and don't mind playing online with new people, than go ahead and get Mario Kart 8. But if you want to be with your friends, ok with having the content you already have, and love to play a great game on the go, then get Mario Kart 7.

If it's playing with friends that you want to do, stick with Mario Kart 7. It's a great game, both for single player, and especially for the multiplayer. You can play with a single card if you play over local wireless, and like @kr3rdparty said, there are very little limitations. The only limitation with the single-card local wireless play is that the people without the game cannot chose their characters or customize their kart. If I remember correctly, you can play with people who have the game and don't have the game in the same local wireless lobby.
Hope this helped! :)

I would recommend MK7 because MK8 is more expensive and it would cost more for extra controllers since it's a home console game. Also you can finally play with your friends online or locally.

Go for Mario Kart 8. Mario Kart 7 is pretty outdated, as it came out around 4 years ago. Although, Mario Kart 7 does offer very fun gameplay and people still do play its online servers, I wouldn't recommend buying it until you've bought Mario Kart 8. All in all, they both offer an enjoyable experience, it's all up to you, but if you have friends who play Mario Kart 7, I recommend just playing Download Play.

Between Mario Kart 7 and Mario Kart 8, I would have to choose Mario Kart 8. I love the new things they put in Mario Kart 8 especially the new characters they put in too. A prominent new addition is anti-grativy, allowing players to drive on almost any surface. Elements from Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 7 are reused, such as Bikes and 2-Player online from Mario Kart Wii, and gliding, underwater driving, and kart customizing from Mario Kart 7. In addition, ATVs join the returning karts and bikes as a new class of vehicle.

I would choose Mario kart7 because it is cheaper and the controls are easier.

I would go for Mario Kart 8, as it is a TON of fun even without the DLC. In fact, some of the DLC is actually free!(It includes three Mercedes cars in the pack) The track design is ingenious, the remastered tracks are even more fun now, as they've been retrofitted with anti-gravity and the like, and the graphics and music are stunning.
