Du you guys think that Mario Kart 8 should come to the 3ds;)
 
Well , I can't deny the fact that it would be awesome for Mario Kart 8 to be on the 3ds console , but I don't really think that the 3ds can handle all the graphics and gameplay and the 200cc , it'll be better to stick to MK7 . Besides , Mario Kart 8 is what makes the Wii U more unique for having an exclusive game like this :p

I'm not gonna lie, I'm surprised this is the second time someone has made a topic like this. I mean dang.

Nintendo only releases one Mario Kart per console. There's not going to be any more Mario Kart content on 3DS. Ever. Sorry.

Not trying to come off as passive aggressive, it just pains me to see people even remotely trying to convince themselves this could happen. Don't get your hopes up.

The 3ds wouldn`t handle the graphics. Besides, we already have Mario kart 7 on it that got many of the same features that Mario kart 8 have, so I do not see why people would actually want the game there. And as Nana said, there will never be a new Mario kart before Nintendo releases a COMPLETELY new handheld.

I agree with what you are saying, the 3ds cannot handle the graphics, they could however create a lower resolution version of those maps and create them for the new 3ds, since the processors on the new 3ds are much better than the old 3ds'. I think the main point of this thread is that, at least i think so anyway, they SHOULD do is create more dlc content for the 3ds, since as we can see the Wii U getting more c0ntent for it and its been only a short amount of time since it's release in comparison, Mario Kart 7 should have gotten dlc but did not, and i think it is quite unfair to the 3ds community that we have to stick with stock maps that we've probably driven around a million times whereas the Wii U is getting more dlc content every few months. If anything, linking back to mario kart 8's maps, i think that mk7 should receive those same maps, or at least a selective few of those maps for dlc, of course they would be lower resolution, thats an obvious fact, but i think it would spark up more people to start playing mario kart 7 again, and also increase sales for the game to start up again
 
It's highly unlikely that MK8 will come to the 3DS mostly because the 3DS already has MK7 and that a lot of the functions and graphics are too advanced for the 3DS to handle. Although it could be cool if DLC content could be added to MK7 as an equivalent to the DLCs on MK8...
 
That would be fun but I think it is better to stay on the wii u and I think it would look better on a bigger screen( even though I don't have the game) Also I don't think the local multiplayer would work as well, as it is people only need another wii remote to play but if it was on the 3ds everyone would need a 3ds to play with friends/ family.
 
It wouldn't happen...There's pretty much only 1 Mario Kart game per console so they wouldn't port it to the 3ds...Anyway's would the 3ds be able to handle it in all honesty?
 
First of all, 3DS can't handle graphics second there is only one mario Kart game per console. If Mario Kart 8 were to be released on 3dsk, the sales of wii u would decrease.; MK7 and MK8 are meant to be side by side on different consoles so thete is absolutely no way MK8 can come on 3ds.

I'm pretty sure that Nintendo isn't going to make such a risky move. Downgrading a game like Mario Kart 8 for the 3DS would be awful, imo. Nintendo would have to reduce so many things including HD graphics, fps, memory, and maybe even cut DLC because of possible limitations. Also, this ultimately wouldn't make sense, since there has been only 1 new Mario Kart per console. Then again, Non-Mario characters and karts (Mercedes vehicles) were added to the Mario Kart 8 roster, so anything can happen at this point. :p

What Nintendo could do is release similar DLC for MK7, new maps and characters should be relatively easy to do for the game. The 200CC mode also doesn't seem extraordinarily difficult.

I think it will be great to have Mario Kart 8 for 3DS but Nintendo won't really do that.

yes!! i think that mario kart 8 should come out to the 3ds. i love that game. thw graphics are better and new ways to race on tracks. also nintendo would also make more money if hey made mariobkart 8 for the three ds

Nintendo might make more money on the 3ds side
But if they were to do that, the wii u would fail even further. That wouldn't really make them money. Mk8 is a great game and its one of the games that are still holding up the wii u
I actually think that they should make a similar version but exclusive to the new 3ds. Since it has a better more compatible system

The game will be highly wanted on the 3DS, but it won't happen due to the limitations of the 3DS console. The most we could hope for is for Mario Kart 7 DLC, but since the game has been out for years, the game is forgotten by Nintendo as a company.

Agreed as mario kart has been ignored by nintendo for years they're most likely not going to all of a sudden just make a dlc
But that would be the only hope food for a mario kart 8 like game on the 3ds.

It would be amazing if there was a 3ds Mario kart 8 and use the 3ds as a controller like the super smash bros. I don't have a wii u but play at a friends. hope this happens some day
