do you guys have mario kart 7 and 8 and have you ever compare then in the comments if you like mario kart 8 or 7 and tell me why do you like 8 or 7 and just to tell you i like 8 then 7.

I only have MK7 but I prefer it over MK8 because it is more balanced as I hear and you just can't beat the awesome tracks (and music but those can be considered tracks too).

The only bad part I can think of for 7 at the moment is the A.I. It can get super cheaty, but that's always how Mario Kart's A.I was. I played a bit of 8 at a friends, I love some of the retro courses(CoughToadsTurnpikeCough) but otherwise it feels like a super size MK7 with less useful items. And you can't stock them anymore(I.E. Hold one behind your kart and get a new box), and the starman feels incredibly useless which is ridiculous and sad. Overall, 7 was better but that might just be me.

i can see your opinon but if you had mario kart 8 and played it in death then you might change your mind cuase their are DLC's in mario kart 8 you might like for instance you and ride a LINK! yes LINK CAN DRIVE! and tannoki mario and cat peach and if you like ACNL you get isabellle and the person you start with in animal crossing games and you get dry bowser new cars new wheels and new coures you might like even more you evn cant change to diffrent colored yoshis and shy guys and even you get a free dlc with new karts and wheels to but I for got what the dlc is called but you should get mariokart 8 and play for it for till you get every thing or every character and some whells gliders and karts the you would like mario kart 8 better trust me.

I only have Mario Kart 7, but I prefer it over MK8 as from what I've seen the Battle mode was completely botched in that game which is pretty disappointing, I only really like a couple of the courses in the game, a ton of the music is good or great but not excellent, the roster is worse than 7 (which should've been hard) which I can let slide because the characters I care about are in there, but it's still not a good thing, and I prefer handheld gaming anyway.

Plus I love having the Touch Screen to see incoming items or racers on at a quick glance, which is much harder to do in Mario Kart 8, and I like the items in this game much more.

I only have Mario Kart 8. I didn't bother with the 7th one because right when I was about to buy it, the 8th one was announced, so I got that one instead. I prefer 8 more since the courses are better and I like having both anti-gravity and gliding in one game.

I have both Mario Kart 8 and 7. I don't know which one I like more, so I'll just say this:

Mario Kart 7: I dont like it as much since its a portable game, and you can do more things on a console game like Mario Kart Wii or Mario Kart 8 since consoles are capable of more things

Mario Kart 8: Some items are useless, online is a bit hard, battle mode sucks.

While I indeed respect 8(Only because it's Mario Kart, the same reason why I'll never play the GBA one yet I respect it), I feel like it's too flashy, and the DLC makes it less Mario Kart, more Nintendo Kart due to being able to drag another franchise over. 7 had a top-of-the-line standard for Mario Kart, it was actually Mario Kart again. Truth be told MK:Wii was the Mario Kart to predict the end of decent MK games. It was too easy, there was no real challenge(Even on Mirror Cup I struggled zero times)

I feel like 7 really is the best of Mario Kart right now, 8's just too flashy and hyped. It'll lose it's luster eventually.

I have MK7, if I had both games I'll choose MK8, because there's more items, new characters, new Mercedes Benz and new courses. For some people apparentley dislikes MK8 mostly because the VR system extended to 99k rather than 9k Nintendo created this update the past few days.

hmmm, I choose mario kart 7, but only because thats the only one of the two you mentioned that I have ;P even if I did have mario kart 8, I most likely would still choose mario kart 7! I love that game, and it doesn't look to me that mk8 lives up to it

Mario Kart is very close to my heart
Yet I myself don't even know where to start
Let's just say that my favorite is 8
All the 7ers need to update!

I only have MK7 but I prefer it over MK8 because it is more balanced as I hear and you just can't beat the awesome tracks (and music but those can be considered tracks too).

Every track in Mario Kart can be mastered if that's what you mean. Item-wise, Mario Kart 7 is more balanced.

Most of the items in Mario Kart 7 are the same as the ones in 8. The new items (Boomerang, piranha plant, coin, ect.) as well as the starman are very useful if you use them correctly. In the early stages of Mario Kart 8 racers were able to stock items, but I guess Nintendo didn't want that implemented in the long-run. It takes away from the nubs of Mario Kart.

I think 8 is better.
Not saying that 7 is bad (it is still the best portable entry), but 8 is better in some many ways, online, graphics, soundtrack (orchestrated ost ftw).

I only played Mario Kart 7 and it's awesome, but Mario Kart 8 is better because it has new items, cool DCLs, and New characters.

Mario Kart 8
pros: Graphics, DLCs, online rankings, nice tracks, karts + bikes.
cons: bad servers, bad vr/br system, coins as items, UNBALANCED ITEMS.

Mario Kart 7
pros: 3D, nice tracks, portable.
cons: glitches, bad engine, glitches and glitches.

so yeah, Mario Kart 8.

MK8 is obviously the better choice. More improved graphics, new characters, new/unique features (i.e the gravity thing). There's just so much to do, and hours of fun packed into one game. It's just silly to compare a home console title with a handheld one. They're both good in their own ways. :p

Well, Since I only have a 3ds, so I cant play Mk8. But I'm lucky enough to own a copy of Mk7. Since I got the game this year I have been playing it ever since. This game is really amazing. I love the challenging feel the game give's you even when your playing against AI. I love how you can customize your kart's, that can really change the tide of a race. Also the online is very fun. It is super smooth and very fun. I love competing against other people and try out new customazations. Also I love communties. I don t much about Mk8 but just the dlc. But if you have a 3ds Mk7 is a must have.

I only have Mario Kart 7, so that's the game I will say is better. Although I have seen gameplay from Mario Kart 8, is it looks nothing near horrible. If I were able to try it out, then I would be able to hopefully say more. For now, Mario Kart 7 has a variety of characters, a lot of content, and I still play it to this day.
