what do you think is better MArio Kart 8 or Mario Kart 7. Mario Kart 8 can only be played on the Wii U as Mario Kart 7 can only be played on the 3ds/2ds. The Mario Kart 8 versoin might look better but you cant play it on really long road trips. But Mario Kart 7 you can bring you 3ds with you. You its all up to you do you like the portability or do you like the better looking game

P.S. I would pick Mario Kart 7 because I travel all the time and i like having a fun game with me to take along.

I like Mario Kart 8 more because of the Anti-Gravity feature. I could care less about being able to play a game on the go, I actually had cases where I would pack my Wii U on a long roadtrip with me, and I could play it when I get there. Plus I love the graphics on MK8 a lot, and I love playing 200CC, 2 things that MK7 doesn't really provide. Plus let's not forget the great DLC that MK8 has as well, it makes the game more fun with characters like Link and Villager in the game, and courses such as Mute City and Excitebike Arena always brings thrills to the game. We also have 5 different Marios and 4 different Peaches if you're interested :p

Didn't play Mk8 since I don't have a WiiU. I think Mk7 wins due to its portability? But then again Mk8 has a lot of features compared to Mk7.

Mario Kart 8, not only 8 is a really amazing game by itself, but the fact that 7 is quite bad in my opinion is the reason why picking 8 is much easier for me

Well, I'd say MK8 since it's the newest one and they improved it quite a bit. The visual is quite stunning and online is really active. I enjoyed MK7 as well but if I had to pick, the recent one is better.

Mario Kart 8 would obviously be better than Mario Kart 7 :p MK7 was really good but then it's apparently getting quite old and MK8 just improved in a lot and has DLC and a lot of different features that MK7 doesn't have. The things I can name that MK7 has and MK8 doesn't is portability, 3D, and a few exclusive stages :p

Mario Kart 8 has a lot more stuff, cool graphics, antigravity etc. , but Mario Kart 7 is portable. Being able to bring mario kart 7 on road trips is awesome especially if someone traveling with you also has a 3ds; it is great for passing the time. I would say it depends on where you want to play, if you want to play in the car or not at home get mario kart 7, if you want to play at home get 8.

I played Mario Kart 8 a little, and I sucked at it. xD It was pretty neat. I love how it had many new cool features. And the graphics were amazing. <3 My favorite feature would be the Anti-Gravity feature. ^-^

MK8 may have new features, fab graphics etc. but I still prefer MK7 because I played it more and have more fun memories of playing it and stuffz. :bag:

Well I like how there's DLC and Amiibo functionality in MK8 that I wish MK7 had. But I doubt I would like having a coin for an item because I think that throws off the balance of the game. But MK8 doesn't have Streetpass functionality which isn't a really big deal because it was nothing special so that's what MK8 doesn't have. Know what I'd pick MK8 just for 200cc and more tracks.

I don't have a Wii U so I cannot really speak for MK8, but from what videos I've seen, it looks really impressive.

The fact that it received DLC support is a plus, since it adds more stuff.

Also, it's 8, it's meant to follow up to 7, so naturally it should be better lol

Mario Kart 7 is great and all,but Mario Kart 8 is the one of the two I like better. For one,the antigravity in here is pretty fantastic in the courses it's used.Second, the game's roster is pretty large that comes with plenty of recognizable names here, and some oddballs that stand out more than the rest because some of these were created for the game precisely. :p
Third, the track selection, mentioning both the standard and the DLC tracks of Mario Kart 8,is simply impressive.I like almost all of the 48 tracks, and don't feel bored whenever I come again to the ones I enjoy racing out on.Sure, the Battle Mode isn't better than of Mario Kart 7,but I think people are used to see the racings being the major thing in this entry. What I'm saying in the end is,that this game is pretty amazing. :)

I don't have Mario Kart 8, nor a Wii U for that matter. But one of the things you said about MK7 is the reason I like it. I loved playing the game on the go and challenging others in a race at school (definitely the best). And the graphics aren't terrible for a handheld.

mario kart 8 is overrated its not good the gravity thing is dumb and graphics are not everything, also the maps are trash. mario kart 7 is really good because its portable and the maps are amazing.

I definitely choose Mario Kart 8 over Mario Kart 7. MK8 is the natural successor, and being the current game, I enjoy this game a lot with lot of new features. It has beautiful HD graphics and the online is MUCH easier to get into, and I like the new highlight reel feature as well. I see MK8 as a solid 8/10 game. It's great. But it's also one of the rare occurrences in the series where the sequel isn't better than the predecessor. MK8 comes in with a number of improvements, like HD visuals, the return of bikes, and new modes, but also has a scrutinized battle mode and the tracks don't feel as impressive. It also has a good design too :)
