one of the best MK's yet? yes or no? fave character/stage/features? do you like to play against your friends/random people online?

I really liked this one. King Boo was my fave character. I used to race online, but gosh, they're so tough. Only because they play non-stop. xD
 
I loved playing this game, especially with the Wii Wheel (hope MK8 supports it)

My favorite course was rainbow road and I always chose Daisy or Mii
 
I spent countless hours playing Mario Kart, not just on my own, but against friends too. I only ever tried it a couple of times online, and won't ever try it again. As you say, those people play non-stop, so they are extremely difficult to beat. However, it's much more fun playing against friends anyway. Bowser is my favorite.
 
I love Mario Kart Wii! Even though its great my favorite Mario Kart game all time is Mario Kart Double Dash.
