I am most likely going to buy this game sometime, but is the gamepad really the only controller you can use? Can the wii remote and pro controller be used, for instance, when guests come and I want them to play my levels, is there any other types of controllers I can use?

I saw a GameXplain stream where one of them played using a Wii Remote, so I guess it does allow for other controllers such as pro controller and wiimote to play.

Oh good... I hate when there's only one type of control...

Really! That is quite good news! I want to use other control options mainly because then they can play the game too, or else I would hat for them to play on valuable controllers such as the gamepad, I always was my hands before I play and not be rough with the gamepad so there would be no way I would give it to a friend who would not even give a crap and make it super dirty and make it look filthy. I am glad though that nintendo is giving some other control options, I think I have faith in them to make each game compatible with different control options.

I clean our gamepad before and after I use it. I wish we had more room to put it though so it won't fall off the dresser though

Im glad that there is an option to use a Wiimote and not just the gamepad. To me, the gamepad is too big and not suitable. A Wiimote, on the other hand, is just the right size for a controller and it's easy to play with. Luckily I clean both the Gamepad and the Wiimotes before and after I play, or else it the buttons would ne sticky.
