This has to be one of the strangest reveals leading up to ORAS, both Pidgeot and Beedrill are getting mega evolutions, I don't think anyone can say they saw this coming, but Beedrill and Pidgeot are arguably two of the worst Pokemon ever created stat wise, so its nice to see them being buffed in some way. When Pidgeot mega evolves its Normal/Flying typing remains the same and gains the ability No Guard and an increase in Sp.A, do you know what this means? Hurricane hits 100% now, which means you need to mark your calendars ladies and gentlemen, because hurricane season begins on November 21st. Mega Beedrill also keeps it Bug/Poison typing and gains the ability Adaptability, which is a good ability and I hope they improve on Beedrill's movepool so it can take better advantage of Adaptability.

In other news, you can fly on Mega Latios & Latias in the overworld and find Pokémon such as Reshiram, Zekrom, Dialga & Palkia in the sky. Latios is exclusive to Omega Ruby and Latias is exclusive to Alpha Sapphire. The Eon Ticket is said to return through a special distribution. You'll also be able to use Mega Latias/Latios to find wild Pokemon hidden in the clouds all over Hoenn.

Hmm, these megas are actually pretty interesting. I like them, if nothing else than for the nostalgia. I remeber using a pidgeot back when I first played pokemon red and thought that it was the totally the best flying pokemon ever.

The flying in the overworld sounds awesome and finding every single non-Event Legendary is incredible. They finally realized that we've wanted this for ages. Now if only they removed event pokemon or made it so that non-America and Japan places can get them.

The Eon Flute apparently allows free flight over the Hoenn world map on Lati@s.
I read something like that somewhere. Could anyone confirm it?

Catch pokémon in the clouds over Hoenn? Woah, the game just got a whole lot more interesting. At first I was thinking, meh just another remake but that surely caught my attention. Can anyone tell me a bit more about that feature? (It might pursue me to by one of the games. (Arg! Which one to choose?!)) I think I might start googling to see what I can find about the games.

Aaaaaand now I'm not excited any more. Seriously, Mega-anchor and Mega-glasses?! But...the secret base option is nice...making your own gym 'n stuff...Now I'm wondering? Can you customize your character or are you stuck with this Brendan/May-person? And what about those names? Would I have to stick with May? I'm not too sure hat too think about the contests...I'm not too sure whether I will buy the game... But if I buy one it's probably Alpha Sapphire.

I think he means naming your rival(ex. Gary).

I am a girl. -.- Further more; no idea. :sorry: I have only played pokémon heart gold and pokémon x. But judging from your answer, no there hasn't been one. Good to know.

Mega Pigeot - looks awesome! I would see myself using this mega. Nice improved design (even if it's a little change).

Mega Beedrill - Don't really care for this one. I don't like that Pokemon very much. xD

Mega L's/and finding pokemon in the sky - wow, this is amazing! :eek:

I like how creative this is. Now, I want OR/AS even more! :D

It certainly looks like Game Freak didn't try very hard to make something entirely new and creative. It's sounds like they did the exact opposite of games like they did in Sinnoh, and Hoenn on the GBA and just allow you to explore up which I think is neat if it gives the player more places to find all the Pokemon in a single region as possible. Hopefully Beedrill gets enough good stats and moves to be a threat because the flying types all got unwanted buffs. We know what Mega won't be on everyone's team because GF loves to make the game so unbalanced they make useless Megas. I do support Mega Bug types, just not when there are too many Pokemon that can counter them since the new mechanics and Gale Wings are in play. This is Tauros.

Nice,Nice plus u can fly in the sky and run into legendary pokemon even better,not super hyped about the megas but I do like mega latios even though u could get him by using some device can't remember.

These Megas were highly unexpected, to me. Seriously, a couple of one worst Pokemon stat-wise gets Megas. It's nice to know that GameFreak decided to boost these Pokemon with a Mega.

Mega Beedrill's design is overall good. I'm loving the looks of this thing. Very intimidating, if you ask me. Anyways, looking at the competitive aspect, the ability seems pretty decent. It could be better, as Beedrill's movepool isn't the best at taking advantage of the ability. Stat-wise, I'm expecting an Attack and Defense boost, since the looks of this Mega makes it look bulky. Although, a Speed boost might work, too.

Mega Pidgeot's design is quite good, too. The look makes it more fierce and powerful. The ability is fine, I guess. It could be better, but it is still good enough for the Pokemon to take advantage of the ability. I'm expecting a HUGE Attack and Speed boost, since the Pokemon looks a lot faster and powerful.

Flying in the overworld sounds cool to me.

That SP ATK boost and 100% hurricane attack might actually make Pidgeot competitive now in its mega form. I doubt we might see it in OU, but it might be bumped up from NU to something else. M-Beedrill, err... meh, :meh:

I'm a little disappointed that Latios can only be caught in Omega Ruby. I prefer it to Latias and I want Alpha Sapphire -.-'
