Metroid Prime 4 delayed - development restarting

Hey guys, MasterofBasics here with a quick update: If you haven't heard, Metroid Prime 4 has been delayed. Apparently the version that was in development didnt meet Nintendo's standards, so development on Metroid Prime 4 has restarted from scratch. This time, Nintendo is bringing in Retro Games, the original developers of the Metroid Prime trilogy, to help with development.

I'd rather be disappointed by a delay, then be disappointed by the game.

This makes me wonder why Nintendo didn't hire Retro Studios on Metroid Prime 4 in the first place. Still, I think having the game developed by the folks who are already experienced in Metroid Prime trilogy might be a step in the right direction, even if the development have to restart from scratch.

I have to say, I’m really disappointed that it’s being delayed. But, patience is a virtue. I still can’t believe that Nintendo decided to humble themselves enough to admit that the game wasn’t good enough. If they’re willing to do that, then I’d be a terrible person to not be patient for this upcoming masterpiece, expecialy since Retro Studios is back on the clock.

So yeah, big disappointment. But if they’re just trying to make the game better, then I’ll wait for that any day.
