A few months ago, Nintendo announced that we would be able to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow into Pokémon Sun amd Moon. In the Virtual console re-releases however, you can still get Mew and Missingno. What do you think, will they be transferable?

I believe the Mew will be transferable, however they would most likely make Missingno un-transferable.

it would be funny to se that they would make a secret for people, that try to send missingno to pokemon sun and moon. Like a master ball or a legendary...

In Gen 2 by using the time capsule and hacking misingno into Gold and Silver it transformed into Gen 2 Pokemon.
this is because originally GameFreak wanted almost all of the pokemon in the gen 2 games in Red and Blue, but due to time constraints and hardware limitations they were programed in the game but show up as MissingNo
Maybe whenever it transfers up to Sun and Moon, MissingNo's Hex ID will correspond to it's GEN 2 pokemon counterpart

TooLong;Didn'tRead : MissingNo will probs be turned into gen2 pokemans because of certain Hex number from MissingNo

Hmmm. I believe mew being transferrable is a bit debatable.... The transfer mechanisms for the most recent pokemon games, from what i have heard, checks the location of each pokemon you attempt to send over and if it doesn't recognize the location as correct/legal, i think it prevents you from sending it. The system also checks other things, but i cannot remember all of it.

So in other words, it wont allow you to send over hacked/glitched mons unless there is some way to trick the transfer system so that it does allow this. I know this applies to hacked mons quite frequently, though i am uncertain of its application to glitched mons. I am very certain missing no will be forbidden to send over.... though i dont know why you would want to do that anyways, seeing how it is very glitchy and from what i have heard can be game breaking as well....

Everything i have said here, i am going by my personal research, some of it i am simply using common sense. If anyone has corrections for me here, i am willing to listen.
