Its really disappointing how Nintendo wants us to buy another expensive system just to get mewtwo, but I'm still gonna buy the wii u version anyway.Currently, the only KNOWN way to do it is by getting both the 3ds and wii u versions, using the cn codes on your account, and then nintendo will send you 2 codes, a 3ds code and a wii u code, for Mewtwo once they're finished building him. However, while its not confirmed, it's more then likely you can just wait for mewtwo to come out and buy him as extra dlc for a few bucks

Lola I will make sure to beg everyone I know who doesn't have a 3ds for their 3ds codeI imagine he'll be around $5, if you don't get your hands on CN codes for both titles.
To be honest, I think only half of the people that are getting Mewtwo actually bought both games. I know of many cases where someone gave somebody else a code to the title they didn't have, so they could both benefit. Generally only done with close friends, but it still happens. Also, it isn't required. I doubt it'll be more than $5 for Mewtwo individually, if you don't plan on buying both.
