Minecraft Multiplayer?

We finally have Minecraft! But we can't get the controllers to hook to the game or
find the local multiplayer option: how do we play it? I heard you need a classic controller(we
have 2 3rd party controllers...) and to have HD (We have a HD TV) what else do we need for it?

I don't think we really need anything else if that's the case. Multiplayer would probably push me on the fence of buying it now

Hmmm, well if that's it: I'll have to play with friends online instead....

There is no direct local multiplayer option, I don't think. You just have to start a game, then connect a Pro Controller and then you should have the option to add another player into the game; rendering split screen. That's how it works in 360, PS3, One, and PS4 at least.

You NEED a Pro controller? My bro says after researching he found NO ONE could play
locally on the Wii U version.... is it possible on this console?
