Missing Anime

Today I have been trying to remember the name of an old anime I watched. From what I can remember, I can say this:
There are three younger people on some kind of adventure using swords and summoning their ghosts which give them power.

Please help me find this anime as it has bothered me for a week now. Thank you

For some reason I think of Campione! but I know your anime isn't that one.

What did the three characters look like?

I know the main character has longer hair (I don't remember much). His ghost has big spiky bluish-gray hair. Also, the main character's name was Yo or Jo (pronounced Yoh, at least on the Serbian dub )

My ways can not be learned, simply grown into as I've watched anime since I was six on every channel that would air it. Good or bad, you learn more series than you should.

It sounded like Blue Dragon too me with 'ghost' and the three friends.
