Hello,
So the other day I downloaded the Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Demo from the e-Shop and whilst I was playing the game on the online mode, I noticed that when a lot is happening on the screen at the same time, the frame rate of the game drops considerably wether I am playing in 3D or not. Now, I have the original model 3DS so I was wondering, for all of you out there with the either the 3DS XL or the "New" Nintendo 3DS, if you happen to either have the game itself or just the demo, could you tell me if you are experiencing these same frame rate drops. This is especially concerning me because, before I downloaded the demo, I had ordered the game online and am currently waiting it's delivery, so if there are frame rate drops in the full game that are just as bad as they were in the demo, I might have to consider upgrading to the "New" Nintendo 3DS :meh:.

I have the regular old XL and the framerate drops, but it's not so bad that I can't keep playing the game and it only happens a couple of seconds at a time. Also, it only happens every now and then.

Interesting. When I was playing the frame rate was constantly dropping sometimes to the point where it was almost unplayable. I'm starting to think that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was made and optimized specifically for the New Nintendo 3DS, because i the adverts for the system they always show how the right-side aiming stick thing can be used and they always use Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate as an example.

That's because it was xD. They released on the same day for a reason :p

:rotfl: Well you have to think about the fact that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate has been out in Japan and (to my knowledge) was out before the "New" 3DS was there.

I'm pretty sure they released at the same time there, too.

EDIT: Yup, both on October 11, 2014.

The frame rate never drops for me when i put on the 3d but i never went online for some technical reasons.I have the normal 3ds and i played the demo,it is not all that bad the game even though i find no fault in it at all except for what you mentioned,my advice just go with it.

I have the regular 3ds and play the demo but I don't have any really framedrops at any time in solo or online . The only time I get a huge framedrop is when somebody disconnects . Asides from that , everything seems quite fine . Maybe you downloaded it wrong or something but maybe it will stop soon

I have not really noticed any frame rate drop or much lag and I play on normal 3ds. I think ga you will be fine with the acctual game. Even if the frame rate does drop, it won't be huge, I think and the amazing gameplay makes up for it.
