I'm not sure what the differences between Monster Hunter Stories on the Nintendo 3DS and the mobile version on Android/iOS are, but the game is now available via App Store & Google Play.

Android - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.capcom.mhssfen
iOS - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id1339054474

Apparently, both mobile versions are free while the 3DS version is priced at $40 US.

After further investigation, it looks like it's a demo for Monster Hunter Stories and once you've reached a certain point. you'll have to buy the full game on 3DS with the option of importing your saved data to it.

I guess it's a good way to get people to buy a 3DS and the game if they liked it on mobile.

Anyone tried it out yet? What do you think?

So I guess it will be similar to how you can buy Phoenix Wright on mobile, but on this one you have to have the 3ds version. It’s very cool anyways :D

You're incorrect on this part. The full version is a paid mobile app (see: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.capcom.mhsspen) and it's £19.99 on the google play store at least.

There's nothing about swapping between mobile and 3ds.

I’m buying this. No doubt in my mind, this is definitely happening. This was one of my favorite 3DS games ever, so it’s 100% purchase for me. :D

Why would you buy the game if you already liked it on 3DS? Or are you talking about another 3DS Monster Hunter game?

Nah, I’m talking about this one. It’ll be nice to have the game on IOS so I don’t have to dig around for my 3DS anymore. I use my iPad everyday anyways, so it’ll be better to have it on here for easy access. Plus, I lost my cardtridge. :p

btw the phone version has way better hd graphics compared to the 3ds version. just in case someone needed a reason to get the mobile version.

as it is a turn based rpg it isn't too hard to play without physical buttons.
