I knew most of this. I didn't know, however, that they were selling 2.5 consoles per second Thanksgiving week 2009.

Yeah, it topped 100 mil almost a year ago - good thing too since sales have slowed to a crawl.

Pretty amazing, seeing how far Nintendo has come compared to it's competitors like Sony/Microsoft.
The foundation Nintendo has is enough to last them a very long time.

And this is why Nintendo is one of the best companies it's got characters that are easily recognizable and loved. Not to mention its the biggest name in gaming, Nintendo is so cool!
