Go. To. Sleep!
Towns Folk
For me it was the Superman 64, aside from flying aimlessly around a town void of life there was a level where there was a man (maybe Lex Luther?) trapped in a freaking crystal pod thing. I tried punching it, flying around it clicking 'A' hoping to trigger an event, and using heat vision....nothing worked!

At the time I was like six or seven and i gave up on it. So what was your hardest game?

I haven't played many N64 games because i never owned one, but I have played some on my Wii. The hardest one would probably be the legend of zelda majors mask. It was an overall hard game. I got stuck in the stone tower temple, and I counldn't figure out how to complete the icana canyon area.

I only remember playing two Nintendo 64 games at some time from my early years: Super Mario 64 and Diddy Kong Racing.I wasn't used to the console's controls at the time, and because of that's,I didn't do much progress in those games.Technically,I did beat Super Mario 64 on the DS as a remake,so I'll be going with Diddy Kong Racing.I sometimes got stuck on the tracks facing to a wall because of my little hands and thumbs at the time, and it was frustrating to be honest.I don't have a lot of thoughts and opinions on the game because of that factor, but from a perspective nowadays,it was a fair amount of challenge.

For me it was Quake 2 or 3, I can't remember which is for N64. I was like 5-8 then, so spooky things left me very spooked. I couldn't kill some of the aliens, I was just too afraid. Now I'd probably be too balsy lol.

lets see as a kid it was ocarina of time lets see I have to say golden eye 007

Probably Donkey Kong 64 :p

That's probably one of the best N64 games out there. It's one of my all-time favorites. It's so hard though! In order to beat the boss you must collect basically every item and collect every big BANNA! There's so many worlds and upgrades is oh most impossible to beat it without a Guide :p

I have a wii too, and downloaded stuff like majoras mask, it was N64 based and it was tons of fun until I encounted a dungeon, forgot the name, and just quit for a while after that, then I came back and finished the temple. Thats what I do to every Zelda game XD, overall I agree that it is a challenging game

Probably Pokemon Stadium even with good Pokemon. With rentals it can be hard sometimes and Mewtwo can be a challenge if you are decent at the game but they were too nice to you by having a 6 on 1. This is put into consideration when I only played Mario Tennis and Pokemon Snap on the N64 besides. Pokemon Puzzle League is just brutal though even if I never played it you can tell it's hard.

I'm still trying to unlock the final area of Bomberman 64 after what feels like 10 years of playing. Such a hard game...

DK64 was a challenge to do. The story was good but confusing were to go at some points and it ad the DK rap. Doom 64 was also hard but it was amazing

Ocarina of time for me. The first few temples were okay to progress through, but the dreaded water temple was the worst. All them keys that you had to find, it was so annoying. The Desert temple was challenging too. Getting all those Skullatas (sp?) was pretty much impossible to achieve. I never 100%'d that game, ever. xD

DK64 that game was literally the hardest game to 100% in the history of video games! I had been playing for 6 months straight and was still at only 75% so i finally just went out to the store and bought the booklet. Even with the booklet it was difficult to 100% because it told you where the hidden bananas were but not how to get to them! so it was a mase on its own trying to get to the bananas! And the dk rap was really cool at first but after months it got really really really annoying!

One of the most difficult games I had played as a kid was Mischief Makers, a side-scrolling game. But, looking back on it now, and seeing gameplay videos, it probably wasn't that hard of a game... I was probably just terrible at it, XD

It may not count since technically, it's a DS game but in Super Mario 64 DS, I could never find the remaining stars I needed. I had completed all the stages, got all the red coins and 100 coins in those stages and even completed all the secret stages but I still came up short.
