Pokemon Black was the most Disappointing Pokemon Game for me. I was all hyped to play it because it looked so cool! Everything was revolutionary! The Pokemon moving and being animated during the battle!? Better competitive battles? YES I am getting this game RIGHT away! So I got it. I certainly enjoyed it at the start. But then I started to realize after about 20 minutes of playing... No pokemon from older gens in the main game! That singlehandedly kills this game for me.
Black 2 is actually one of my favourite pokemon games though. The regional dex was HUUGE and I had a wide range of options for my main-game team. Sadly Black 2 had a really short online life. Black 2 brought me into competitive but then nintendo crushed it :( Still love Black 2 though.

Surprisingly its ORAS for me,i started out in Pokemon with Emerald on the gba i loved it to death i must have replayed it like a 100 times i remember every floor tile and every event too,so naturally i bought ORAS on the day of release but much to my dismay after playing for a while i started to lose interest and even as of today i haven't finished it.

I DISAGREE. IT WAS the Best game bar Gen 4.

Oras bored me a lot as well actually. It took me a long time to finish it.

I skipped B/W its sequel and never got the Gen 2 and 3 remakes, so I can't speak to those. Instead I'll offer up D/P: it was, in my opinion, the most boring generation and a pretty lousy region overall (which might not be a popular opinion if a lot of you probably started with Gen 4).

Well it does show it's age (it's there I say it too slow for me) and have a few dorky Pokémon designs but it was a step up from Gen 3 and had 3D effects but I am disappointed the servers for these games went down and I guess it's more dependent on two games and local play. The internet wasn't the best on the DS to begin with and it couldn't pick up internet where the 3DS can. There goes the play online sales pitch back in 2006.

Hey you pikachu

Well the Pokemon game that I've played and found kinda disappointing was probably Pkmn D/P , though not necessarily implying that I hate Generation 4. Pkmn Platinum improved it :p Pkmn D/P was really really sluggish in terms of going through texts and stuff >.> It felt really slow in its terms in the battle process and that really wasn't something that I liked, kinda ruined the fun, but the other general features were great. Guess another reason was that I played Pkmn Platinum before trying out Diamond and Pearl :p

I kinda agree that it was quite bland that no Pokemon from other regions were there until after the main story. It felt kinda awkward in my first play through of the game xD

I agree with Black and White, but to be honest I was a bit disappointed in X and Y. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed playing it, but it's like Nintendo is trying to appeal to young girls a bit too much. It's like Pokemon games get easier and easier, and some stuff was just too pinky and glittery but they still tried to tell a deepish story but in my opinion those 2 things don't go together that well ._. I also was kinda disappointed with the post-game content and after completing the Pokemon League I felt a bit lost on what to do. But hey, I still liked it a lot, even the pink stuff :p

Pokemon Black and White (as well as their remakes) were extremely disappointing. The starters suckwd, the story was boring, but at least the legendaries were alright. I barely was able to keep playing those games and wish I never bought them so I could save some money. I guess it's good that I got it so I could transfer my actually good pokes from heartgold to x and y. But beside that it is pretty disappointing of a game. I think pokemon and Nintendo could have done better.
