Mother 3 is coming to the Wii U Virtual Console in Japan on December 17

Mother 3 is coming to the Wii U Virtual Console in Japan on December 17, Nintendo announced today. That same day, Nintendo is also releasing a Lucas Amiibo in the country.
Its quite sad that the most asked title is still not released in international shores. It would have been great to add the final game in mother franchise in eshops outside of Japan.

We have to remember Mother 3 is a Japanese game that doesn't need to be translated to be released. Most likely Mother 3 is being translated for America and other countries right now. After all, the last time a game from the Mother series was released in Japan, it was soon announced for American release. So, I would expect Mother 3 to be the same.
Of course, NoA could just decide not to release it, but I can hope. This is a sign Nintendo knows there are people out there who want to get Mother 3 and would buy it. I just hope they see that those people exist outside of Japan.
