The most blue blade.

As said in the title, my four amiibo will not air dodge for the life of them, quite literally. No matter how much I attack them as they keep tumbling down, they never learn. I've tried air attacks, ground attacks while they're falling, everything I can think of. The closest they get to air dodging is trying to move out of the way(I think the term is vector?). They dodge on the ground just fine, too fine sometimes... I don't know what to do. Once I even tried to just jump and keep air dodging. Still didn't help. I am officially dubbing this as 'Little Mac' syndrome.

Use the custom stage full of lava and wait for a few hours. They'll level up drastically and learn a lot of skills.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. I'm on the 3DS version...

Oh... Well then idk what to say then... Did you ever try airdodging yourself against your amiibo?

Yes, though my amiibos aren't too keen on air attacks. Well except my Lucina amiibo which will go out of its way to edge guard and do air attacks to follow up attacks. Though my other amiibo might be more difficult. Teaching this to my Zelda amiibo mat be impossible because it's built a bad habit of always using the up Smash, and it will simply follow a falling opponent until it can up Smash you.

Maybe it's their level. Amiibos do learn from experience. So you should train them a lot against some Lv. 9 CPUs since they can earn more experience from that. Amiibos also do learn from their mistakes. So I don't think a custom stage full of lava would work though. The goal is to help them airdodge better. They'll just keep getting popped into the air that way.
