this was tampered with be forehand by my sister so smash wasnt the one thing that made it break.it costs 20$ to replace it,but im gonna yolo it utill i get a new 3ds. its funny because it has helped me in smash bros more than it has hurt me.maybe i can use that as a sales slogan when i sell it.it has a broken circle pad but it helps greatly in smash bros.

Ouch, I've seen circle pads come out partially but never seen one come off all the way. Guess getting the new 3ds is a must for you now haha. Also, how is your circle pad on the right Side? Always thought it was only made to be on the left side. Is it like that by default where you live?

my cameras inverse its on the left soory for the confusion

Ohh ok lol, I was searching up 3ds circle pad on the right on Google after I saw your image but had zero luck xD

hehe

It helped me when the rubbery part came off. Eventually piece of the circle pad fell off on mine and made it a bit more difficult to play. Of course, I got accustomed to it and I can play fine these days, however, I can't move around as freely as I'd like :

Honestly, I can't imagine playing 3DS games if the entire circle pad dropped off, but I assume it's not as bad as it looks :p

Places here don't repair it and I don't trust myself with repairing the thing myself .-. so I'm waiting for the N3DS too >.<

Man, what exactly causes the circle pad to break? Are people just too rough on them? I play my 3DS close/more than 1,000 hours a year and I've NEVER had issues with the circle pad. Sorry for your loss.

Oh, so you're getting a New 3DS?

Oh so that what under the circle pad looks like, happened to me but not all of it came off only the cover but I'm sorry my friend things happen bad and good but it is going to cost a lot to repair it.

You know I always thought that it was absurd the fact that a game could actually harm your controller, I always assumed that the fault was on the player not on the game. Finally I got the game and I started playing it and felt that the circle pad started feeling it heheh, so finally i decided to sell the game and get it for wii u before it actually drives me to break the pad.

Aw man that sucks. But it is good if it helps you in smash though. I read some articles about circle pads getting destroyed because of smash, so I always tell my little Brother to go easy on it every time he Plays smash bros. Im dont tthink im getting the New 3ds, so I wouldnt be to happy if that happened to mine

when enough force is aplied to the frame of the circle pad this happens,
the frame holding it in place completely cracks and it slides of,you can try to put it back on but it will slide of again if anyone was wondering.also word of advice never let your sibings play with your 3ds!
you cant see it but there are cracks all through the black frame

I Honestly do not know how you guys can break tour circle pad playing this game lol. what do you guys do when you play?? This might sound weird but perfect pivoting is not the best thing to do when playing smash on 3ds. Also do not Smash the stick left and right. The Circle pad is responsive so please do not bash it left and right lol. That is the only way i can imagine someone breaking the Circle pad,Unless you have superman strength. well good luck playing this game. :p

Yeah that's bad because the circle pad is important on the 33ds and you may need to repair it or get a new one from Nintendo. But it looks like it can like click back on but have you paste it yet? I never had it slip off when I play it and I play smash bros and I hold it too hard.

That must have been bad . I certainly do hope my entire circle pad doesn't drop or break off >.> But I wouldn't choose to repair it . I'd rather get a new 3ds since my one's already kinda old . I almost got confused with that reverse pic though :rotfl: I was like "what ?!"

Same here and I thought that camera was in inverse. I mainly broke my pad due to a loss of the top circle pad rubber cover, then my inputs weren't working correctly one day so I pushed in on the CP and it broke. Nintendo needs to make stronger handheld buttons. It's easier to play with it than you think. I've had no trouble with it in MK7 or Smash.

This sucks. There are a few ways to fix it. IF you have a certain lego part, you can fix it. You get a certain circular lego piece, and it fits on perfectly on your broken circle pad. It feels a lot better, it can help, it feels so much looser and nicer, I tried it my cousins, it feels a lot better actually.

Mine is broken so far off any Lego piece wouldn't work. It's radius is smaller than that of a stud so it would be loose. I'd rather play without the piece. It would fall off anyway so unless you want lost pieces I wouldn't recommend it.

If you have the piece(Circle pad), put a dab of super glue, it will help

Nintendo needs to make a circle pad that won't break.
