I have played every single Mario Kart game in the franchise, except for Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart Double Dash, and Mario Kart 8. And my favorite 2 games by far would be Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii. I am used to those games. I used to have a Wii and Mario Kart to go with it. But it was defective and I had to return it. I am saving up for a new Wii and the classic controller, because to be frank, the nunchaku controllers are too hard, and stupid to use. I like the wheel, too. It really enhances the gameplay on Mario Kart.
