My keyboard is being stupid.

I know that my laptop is already a bit messed up and the keyboard is broken, so I got a Logitech keyboard that is sepreate. I will get a new one but for now I will use this one. When I type too fast, too hard, or put the keyboard on the origanal keyboard it will do this: ```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````] and I have to hit a random key on the origanal keyboard to stop it. It is annoying for everything, espically for this webisite. Please Help! The laptop is a Lenovo Thinkpad? It says W520 and is slightly old.

Try pressing the ` really hard a few times. This is not as silly as it sounds, I'd do it often to fix keys that got stuck in a similar manner on my previous 100-year-old laptop. It gets stuck and pressing it really hard and sudden has the possibility of breaking it in so it works properly again.

I also once had that problem with my computer and when I did a quick search it could be the temperatures that you place your computer in as I heard or something with the humidity your placing your computer in . Does it happen all the time , even when restarting ? It could also be different materials or dust that is in that certain key and maybe cleaning it will help

it is the ` button and it looks like the ` pad is taken off and a rubber-like tip and a white square around it. It happens all the time @Spinnerweb it isn't broken or stuck look at my discription here. Thanks!
