so ima make this clear to start this off, I don't hate the typings for Solgaleo and Lunala, I actually think they fit them perfectly, and heres why
For Solgaleo: Steel/Psychic is a pretty good offensive and Special attacking Type for it, it's not bad at all and it breaks our expectations, everyone thought that "oh it's the sun so la de da! fire type!" but no, Game freak instead gives us a curve ball with the Steel and Psychic typing on it, and it's attack, SunSteel Strike fits it, as it hurdles the force of the sun at it's opponent, plus it's not the sun, is an embassy of the sun according to what we know about it
For Lunala Ghost/Psychic also fits, why? Well Ghost's for one thing are associate with Dark Places, and the Night for lunala fits it perfectly, and whats in the night sky? The moon, it's attack MoonGeist Beam is a perfect example of why it fits, Lunala's wings come together to form a Full moon, emitting light to attacks it's foe's like Solgaleo its an embassy for the moon, and not the moon itself (plus..we just had a Dark legend, shush people)
These typings for the legends if you actually think, fit one another very well and provide more insight than you would think onto these legends!
