This was a present for me and I have no idea what the anime is or who the character is can someone please help???

I feel like I seen em somewhere before but I don't know where. I'm checking around, but so far I think they be just a random character. I know that I had gotten some items with characters that people just make up on the spot.

Wasn't this one with a lot of kids and mechanical critters that they used to fight? ...yes I know that's a very vague description. The mechanical thingies where tiny (I think they were wrapped in balls) but when they were thrown out in battle they grew into huge monsters. I only saw 2 or 3 episodes years ago, so it might just be something else entirely.

I am not entirely sure but I think that looks like Tang San from a Chinese Manhua called Combat Continent or Soul Land.
Lemme pull up a picture

It's the guy on the right. The art isn't that great because I believe this was in the early stages. This was based off a web novel written somewhere in China (idk) and someone redrew it. Judging from the clothes, it should be the correct character.

Hmmmmmm... Well... Uh...
While browsing for manga to read, I clicked on something and saw that it was full color which really impressed me. About half way through the chapter, I found out that I didn't really recognize the use of some endings "oni-san' -> "gege". Using my limited knowledge of Chinese, I found out it was a Manhua. After that, it was just googling. I read the manhua but know little about the actual web novel.

Yeah... I spend my free time not so wisely

Essentially a Chinese manga. I believe Manhua is the actual term though
