N3DS Pokemon Game?

so there i was: going through comments on a youtube video about top 6 pokemon gens, and i saw a comment. .. well, duh, i was looking at youtube comments, but this comment stood out to me, because of 1 important fact.
Every new Pokemon Gen has started on a brand new handheld console.
And here's how:

Gen 1: Gameboy
Gen 2: Gameboy Color
Gen 3: Gameboy Advance
Gen 4: DS Lite
Gen 5: DSi
Gen 6: 3DS

which got me thinking, the New 3DS (or N3DS For short) was just announced in japan. and with the new Buttons and C-stick, the N3DS would serve as a great handheld pokemon device. especially since the C-stick could control the camera angle.

What do you guys think?

Now that you mentioned it there is a pattern. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a new Gen coming soon which the N3DS will have special features for. But in the end I think it'll be like Gen 5 and the DS, some functions may be limited but the game will still come out for both the original 3DS and the new one

To begin with, I'm a Johtoddler , I absolutely adore Generation 2.

I do believe (sadly) that the New 3DS would get a Pokemon game exclusively, no doubt, but I don't think it'll get it so early in it's life-span. If there is a new Pokemon game on the way, it's not exclusive (it'll be available for both 3DS and New 3DS). I think somewhere in the ending of 2015/Mid 2016 there will be an exclusive one for the New 3DS. There is a pattern though, I think the 3DS needs one more or two Pokemon game(s) (other than Pokemon X/Y and Omega Ruby/AS).

Well, following what happened previously, we probably won't get a Gen. 4 remake until the next console after N3DS. Gen. 3 wasn't remade for Gen. 5, so the same will most likely happen here. I mean, like you said, Gen. 4 does still seem like it's a bit too new right now.

the reason pokemon games do it that way is cause 3rd gen and gen 1 remake can be transfer to 4th gen threw the very long poke park process. 3ds has a ds backward compatibility for 5th gen to 6th. 4th gen to 5th it easy to transfer pokemon from 2nd gen remake and 4th. so yes 4th gen more likely wont be remakes till 7th gen on whatever new portable Nintendo designs

- Game Boy; Red, Green, Blue.
- Game Boy Color; Yellow. | Silver, Gold, | Crystal.
- Game boy Advance; Ruby, Sapphire. | Fire red, Leaf green. | Emerald.
- Nintendo DS; Diamond, Pearl.
- DS Lite; Platinum.
- DSi; Heart Gold, Soul Silver.
- 3DS; Black, White. | Black two, White Two. | X, Y. | Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire.

(The list excludes releases of "XLs/LLs." It was made from Memory, so fill in the Blanks if there are any.)
I heard the N3DS was just a Powered up 3DS. We don't know for sure, bit there may be a release of the next pokemon Gen for this, as the N3DS supposedly has exclusive games that the new 3DS' System is too weak to support.
And even then it'll be a while before Gen 7 Makes an appearance. With the added possibility of a sequel or third game to the Kalos series appearing in between.

If Gen 7 is released for the N3DS, so will the Sinnoh remakes most likely.

Pretty sure Black/White were meant for the DSi, as it made use of the DSi's camera and the 3DS didn't even come out yet when they were released(in Japan).
BW2 would probably follow this too, since they were just released late for DS/DSi.

Gen 5 could be played on the DS systems and not just the DSi so I bet there will never be a mainseries Pokemon game on the N3DS. If there is one it would have to be so big and it would have to have so much new stuff and Pokemon that everyone is going to want it. If there was one for the N3DS then it would be a long while because I can't see a Gen 7 Nintendo console coming out any time soon. There might be features that can only be used on the N3DS maybe involving the 3 new inputs but it would have to be playable on the 3DS too.

I think this current gen will be like the Gameboy Advance gen!

Which means a new gen (X & Y), a remake (OR/AS) and a "definite" edition (Z).

Since OR/AS it's coming after the N3DS releases, I think it's possible we may already be seeing some exclusive features for this remakes.
