Names that you give your Pokemon

I rarely name my Pokemon :) because it kind of looks like a bit weird when I give names to my pokemon...

I haven't nicknamed my pokemon...but I might consider trying out some interesting nicknames for the pokemon I get in Pokemon X

What are some of the names that you give to your Pokemon? I can't remember any of the names that I gave my Pokemon in my Diamond game, but for Showdown, they're :
  • Yanmega - Last Thing You See
  • Heatran - Shin Megami Tensei
  • Milotic - I'm Sexy & I Know It
  • Gliscor - I'm Not Ugly!
Those are only a few. The others aren't that great for telling IMO, :oops:

What.... I'm sexy and i know it??? Lol. I usually do not name my Pokemon... Well actually I never name them so I do not know what to post here :/...

Well I nickname 50% of my competitive Pokemon so whenever you battle me you'll get to see them.

lol i usually nick name all my pokemon :p and last time and this time i would nickname them according to their moves and abilities - their appearance and how i feel like naming them - i would name my nine tales kyuubi :p

Since I just started playing Pokemon X, I gave some Pokemon names from SMT demons closest to their design/characteristics.

The only time I named my Pokemon was in Sapphire and SoulSilver. In Sapphire, I called my Sceptile "Leafy" which was really the best I could come up with at the time. In my SoulSilver, my Cyndaquil was lovingly named "Tacos" and my Pidgey "Burrito". I guess I must have been hungry at the time.

Hydreigon - Nemesis
Charizard - Terry
Metagross - Sigma
Excadrill - Drayden
Milotic - Illukisa
Garchomp - Udonna

Idk why but im the type who always likes to use original names in the pokemon, sometimes i use chinese names in shiny pokémon, and they give a feeling of Mastery in battle to.

These are some nicknames I gave to some of my Pokemon in X:Chesnaught:Nut(I couldn't think of anything) Blastoise:Lady Blasto(because it was a girl) Talonflame:Your mom(My cousin told me to name it that) Another Talonflame:Your Mom Jr.(For the sake of Your Mom XD) Vivillon:Flutter(I don't remember) Zigzagoon:ZOOWEEMAMA (No idea why I named it that :hilarious:)

I tend to shuffle up the original pokémon name to create something new, sometimes adding a few letters. If I don't I pick words I like. My first own shiny was a golden Luvdisk which I named Halcyon which is just another word for gold :p I just liked that word, it also means calm, gentle, hopeful or even idyllic. Plus, it just has a nice sound to it.

I name my Pokemon on something that I've played recently , so the latest was that I've named my Pokemon after characters from the Ace Attorney series game :p But If I were to get a new Pokemon game or restart my Pokemon White , then I would totally name them after you guys :sneaky:

I named my Giratina Tina( because it ends with a Tina) I named my Palkia Pinkie( cousin told me to name it pinkie) My Dialga was called Doctor( Doctor who pls) I named my Zigzagoon ziggyzoo.

At first I never nicknamed my Pokémon but ever since I started breeding for competitive I got into it, now I nickname almost every Pokémon that I use. Many are lame though. Just in rare cases I never nickname a Pokémon because I can't come up with a good one :I Some of them are:
- Jingle the Chimecho (aka "The Little Destroyer" as friend of mine called him after a battle)
- Mako, Zuko and Iroh the Blaziken Brothers
- Yay! the Plusle
- Nay! the Minun
- Feuergeister the shiny Chandelure
- Mambo, Salsa, Fiesta, Miror B., Trudly and Folly the Ludicolo gang
- Laurent the shiny Serperior (named after Laurent from FE:A)
- Weather Dude the Castform
I'd keep adding more but I have over 120 and that's... a lot x3

I'm usually against the naming of my pokemon. I think follow the they say their name thing so yea. However if a great idea strikes me I will go for it. In ORAS I had to name my Regice it get Regigigas. So I called him Icyman. I named my zapdos zappy, so yea not very creative, but you know whatever.

Back in Pokemon Black, I used to name my Pokemon after their Japanese names.

Now, in Pokemon Omega Ruby, I've named my Pokemon after demons of different origns.

Names in the catch order of the Pokemon:

Swampert
Swampert - Leviathan
Leviathan, the Raging Sea, the Avatar of Water, and the West. I thought it would be fitting for a brute like Mega Swampert.

Gardevoir
Gardevoir - Lilith
Female demon of Jewish lore, sometimes said to be partnered with Samael. Also put her in Beauty contests.

Altaria
Altaria - Lucifer
Lucifer, the Enlightenment, the Avatar of Air, and the East. Altaria is the beauty, and I even used him for Beauty Contests.

Flygon
Flygon - Belial
Belial, the One Without a Master, the Avatar of Earth, and the North. Basically I have him for the theme. Used him for Toughness Contests.

Dusknoir
Dusknoir - Samael
An archangel sometimes said to be Lilith's partner. In other lore, he is said to be an archangel that is the one that reaps people's souls. Suits him quite perfectly. Used him for Cleverness Contests.

Salamence
Salamence - Satan
Satan, the Opposer, the Avatar of Fire, and the South. Salamence is the strength. Used him for Coolness Contests.

I'm not a cultist or anything. People get similar ideas like that a lot.
