Who do you think is better little Mac or ness the up side is that ness has decent everything but the bad thing about him is that your opponent can see what you doing and punish. The hood thing about little Mac is he op in strength but the bad thing is air game

I want to say in general Little Mac wins the match up in terms of range, options, and super armor smashes. He could easily beat out PK Fire with his side special and Little Mac's counter can save him in certain air approaches when Little Mac is trying to get back down on the ground. You would need a good Ness player or a bad Little Mac player in order for Ness to win.

I think that Ness is better, but in a duel as Artisan states, Little Mac would win. Pk Fire is awesome which can beat down a whole lot of characters easily. Pk Fire can be spammed in a convient spot and then shift accordingly to what is going on :p

I think that it depends a lot on the player's skill in that certain character but in my opinion I think that Little mac will do better and win against Ness because of general match up :p Little Mac's options are more powerful and useful against Ness' ones .

Tough choice, Little Mac has all the power on the ground, but Ness gets all the coverage in the air. Hmmm. By a slight tidbit I'm going to vote Little Mac since he can use his armor punches to body most of Ness's attacks, plus Little Mac can use his Slip Counter to beat out any of Ness's stronger attacks like the PK Thunder ram (as I call it). I think a better way for me to confirm this is to have two level 9 CPU's fig by each other and see who wins the best 2 out of 3 matches.

I say Little Mac since everyone knows that a good Little Mac isnt stupid. (At least IK it.) But a good Little Mac knows how to recover and if they're fighting a Ness they know to watch out for his range like PK fire and his grabs since those have high launch and can throw Little Mac too far to recover. But the most important thing that a Little Mac should know is that if your opponent is on the edge don't go attack them. I mean you can edge guard but if your oppponent is just standing there chilling waiting for you to come to them a good Little Mac knows not to.

They're both good characters, just really gotta know how to play them. Ness has some great air game, where as Little Mac has none, and arguably Little Mac has the best ground game in the game so it really depends on if you wanna take it to the air, or if you're a more grounded character

well i think they both have their strengths and their flaws, but personally i enjoy little mac more, just don't let him go off stage, that is pretty much a grated KO, my suggestion for him: stay in the central stage, wait for your opponent to attack, and simplely avoid his attack, then go for a punish, if you need to go to the edges, don't, and i mean DO NOT let yourself get grabbed, their next move will be throwing you off stage, and with little mac, sometimes is hard to come back as they will go for an aerial attack that wont let you get back, be carefull about it!!

Ness. Little Mac is easy to beat if you happen to use literally any character with decent air-game. Ness on the other hand is decent on the ground and great in the air, can use and ABSORB projectiles, and has great killings options with his back throw and his up special, his up special can kill very early. The only problem ness has personally is that I have a hard time using his recovery. Other than that ness wins.

yeah, ness really gave me some hard times at recovering, but personally my problem with him is his speed, i feel him a bit "TOO SLOW", but that's just me, i know some people that really know how to use him, but still, i never managed to use him properly.

Well Ness is 6th and Little Mac is 48th on the current tier list, knowing that there are 49 people on that list, so that's not so good for Little Mac :p

Ok, the tier list doesn't really mean something here, so let's look at matchups instead. And lol, what do we see on top of the list ? Little Mac. So the character Ness beats the most easily is Little Mac.

Basically, the only thing that isn't so easy for Ness is to come back on the ground when Little Mac starts hitting, but since it's the same the other way round (it's even easier for Ness since even his dash attack sends completely upwards, and after that you do whatever you want with Little Mac like aerials if he's still stunned, or PK Flash/Thunder if you are afraid of his counter), Little Mac doesn't have an advantage here. And Ness wins everywhere else (for example, Ness has some grabs that send far away, and we all know how bad Little Mac is at coming back on stage).

That's true, but in the end it depends on how you play, for any of the two fighters you just need to know how to react to certain moves, how to space your attacks, and most importantly know when to attack.

Well yeah of course, if the one playing Little Mac is a better Smasher than the one playing Ness, he has chances. But with two players with the same skill, Ness wins.

I say it depends on the player's play style. If they like a character with good air game, they should chose Ness. If they like a speedy character who can pack a punch, then they should go for Little Mac. Personally, I prefer Ness over Little Mac.

In an uphill battle, Little Mac would win for sure, but it depends on the skill, if both players can compensate for their weaknesses. But I do believe that Ness would win because since Little Mac's recovery is bad he cannot intercept ness's recovery.

False statement. An experienced LM can gimp any character with nairs and footstool.

Oh yeah, that broken ol combo! Did Nintendo release a patch for that?! It is soon broken that it make me wanna break something. Good point because I forgot that little Mac players does do that kind of stuff.

Personally I don't think it needs a patch for that. I haven't even practiced yet that tactic and I find it really hard to pull off, and besides, I think some characters could recover from footstool like Villager.

Ness because he has great aerial game and has great off stage combat and is still awesome to play with and can easily beat Little mac with his side throw. But Little mac is still good and can easily beat ness with his power and can destroy him with his over powered smashes! And dont forget his unbeatable KO punch. Because Ness doesnt weigh alot. So little mac can easily beat ness. But i prefer Little mac
