With all of the hype going on about the new 3ds Xl comming to America and the New REGULAR 3DS not, I was thinking if there would be a New 2ds, or at least a Circle Pad Pro periferal for the normal one. What do you guys think?

I still grieve for the New 3DS special edition bundles that was sold out just earlier today.
I dunno why Nintendo is selling the 2DS along with the New 3DS , cause barely anyone even pays attention to it.

I know right! It wastes money to make a cheap crappy version, you can just turn off the 3d using the slider. It's as easy as that!

Well, my 3D depth slider broke.

The 2DS is actually selling more than you think it's selling. There are countless amounts of people who constantly buy 2DS as some of them have kids which are a bit too young for the 3DS, and hence give them a 2DS for the sake of the hinge's safety.
I doubt that there will be a New 2DS anytime soon, as kids really don't care about extra CPU power and an extra analog nub. It simply does not appeal to them.

Then I say these kids have no taste in gaming.

I don't think they should make a new 2ds. It would not look good. Turning the depth slider to 2d is not at all difficult. If they make one, I hope it isn't flat. Also, I wish the REGULAR 3ds would have come to NA or at least the xl should have proper colourd buttons.

At first I didn't really like the idea of the 2ds very much in my opinion . It looked bad but then the thing is that it does sell and its a very good console for kids and it costs quite cheap but i don't really know how they play it without the 2d . It really should play a big role in the gaming experience and sometimes the new 3ds XL is great but I still don't get why they made . Guess its for some games...

I don't think a new 2ds is a good idea. People do say that they like using the controls on the 2ds better than using the one on the 3ds but I don't think they should make a follow up. If they want it to run New 3ds games it will probably be priced at 150$ without 3d and I don't think that's a good deal considering you can get the much better New 3ds for 50$ that has a better view and a flip screen.

Acoording to me there will no more new 2ds as new 3ds is already present in market and now nintendo company may not focus to 2ds because they may try to develop some new kind of nintendo things

They probably wouldn't. I mean one of the biggest feature for New 3ds is the 3d. But if you have the 2ds it wouldn't work... I do think they should make a c-stick attachment for the 2Ds, though.

I doubt that there will be a new one even though the N3DS came out it wouldn't make sense making a next New thing now or a N2DS ever since why would you buy a N2DS when there is a new 3ds on the market, that means the 2ds won't sell and they won't make a profit.

The point of the 2DS is to be a cheap, "lite-like" 3ds, and it will still be that. Slower, still able to play most games (All but Xenoblade, so far), but much cheaper (My 2DS costed me one fifth of what my New 3DS XL costed me), so the reason it was made in the first place is still very much legit.
Try seeing the 2DS as the Game Boy Micro as it was for GBA. We didn't get a Game Boy Micro SP (Yes, Micro was released after the SP, but the point in itself is still fairly relevant.)

I actually really want a New Nintendo 2ds! I love my 2ds, because it's definitely the most comfortable hand-held gaming system since the original gameboy advanced. The 3d slider was something I didn't care for, and all my SPs and other hinged DSs have cracks on the hinge, so I figured it would be a good fit for me. I mostly want the NN 2ds so it will finally have a Circle Pad Pro, the only thing I wish it had.
