new super mario 2 is not the best game on the 3ds but it's still pretty decant if your asking for my option and the first good thing about it is that they added the gold power up witch shoots gold fire balls that get you coins and that when you get 10000000 coins that thing happen but im not gunna spoil it

The New Super Mario Bros game is a very nice plat former game than most others in my opinion :p It did improve in stuff like the graphics and the 3d Effect ( though it's not really noticeable much ) But still they did add some rather new features like what you listed and a co-op game which was very cool .

Yeah, the 3d effect was ok. But it is very short and very easy making it not to fun. There is no challenge at all. Bosses are kinda a joke comparing it to the other versions. I liked the coin collecting a lot though, its fun to collect coins. Co-op is nice but you need an extra cartridge.

I got it from 3DS Pedia and so far I really like it. I pick it up and play casually from time to time to have it for a longer time and I don't regret getting it. It feels like an old good Mario with enhanced visuals and a couple of new features.

I loved this game! I loved all the beautiful and creative levels. I like all of Mario's different power ups that you can get in this game. I was surprised when I finished the game because to me it was pretty short. Overall this game is colorful and fun to play co-op with someone. I suggest this game to anybody who is a fan of the super mario bros series.

My friend let me play it once on his 3ds, and it was nice (This was before I had my 3ds) It looks promising and sticks to the original Mario platforming style. Some of the challenges, such as the 100 second challenge look hard since they force you to run as fast as you can to the flag pole, or else it is death.

Im playing new super Mario bros 2 a lot, its awesome, i have one file with 5 stars and i have 10000000 coins!!

And by the way, derp is a great name

New Super Mario Bros 2 doesn't play at all fast and loose with the established conventions of its predecessors, so it's instantly familiar and comforting. But its attention to detail is meticulous, and it is easily distinguishable from New Super Mario Bros.
For example, it takes some cues from Super Mario 3D Land, such as letting you store a spare power-up on and launch it from the touchscreen, giving you the invulnerability-conferring White Raccoon Suit power-up if you die too many times on a given level, and making you collect Star Coins to open up bonus stages.
