Huh. Doing it on the Wii U will certainly make things different because we've never had a main series game on the Wii series.
On the other hand, it's just an announcement yet so they'll take a good year to get it going.

I don't think it might be for the wii u since they haven't done one for the console yet plus I think they will do a remake for platinum mostly to me but if it was on wii u that would be probably epic and the game play on the wii u would be cool seeing as the screen is big.

I don't think it'll be a remake. Definitely not so soon and not right after another remake.

You never know. Some argue that Kanto may get to see a re-remake since FireRed and LeafGreen were released during the same gen as Hoenn. This is GameFreak, anything is possible

It's true I guess but I will still be really surprised if they go for another remake so soon.

they have never remade a third game in pokemon. the other than is kanto pokemon including starters are in 6 gen games. it might make since to do a 7 gen then remake kanto. then 8 gen on a new console handheld then pearl and diamond remake

Remake on Pokemon Yellow
...Hopefully? :woot:

I don't think so. Everytime they made a remake, it was on the two (or three) versions that were not the main versions. I mean, Green/Red and not Yellow (Green was a real version in Japan), Silver/Gold and not Crystal, etc.
I would obviously welcome a Yellow remake but I don't think it would happen.

It's an unprecedented situation though, so anything is possible. This is the first time that the situation of whether or not a remake should be, well, remade because 10 years has passed from its release and the games that were released with it in that generation were also remade.

I think this is either going to be something like Colosseum for the Wii U, or something completely different. We already have "minigames" like Pokemon Amie, planting berries, etc., so maybe something that combines some of those ideas into a full game?

Either that or another Ranger/Mystery Dungeon.

I don't feel like we're going to be seeing another Mystery Dungeon anytime soon. The last one couldn't even fit all the pokemon in it and now we're in Gen VI with quite a few Megas. It's hard to say how Mystery Dungeon would be able to handle mega evolution imo. As for Ranger, it'd be interesting, but then there's the issue of them not being able to use 3D....at ALL...on the bottom screen where you loop things around. I think a Wii U release is entirely possible though

It will be Green/Red/Yellow/Blue for sure because they are not on DS yet.

I dunno. We don't need anymore Remakes now. Not for a while that is, we need another game like Colosseum or XD Gale of Darkness, something different for once. Ranger is a long shot, highly unlikely. And Mystery Dungeon already got another installment, Gates to Infinity, so it'll be a good while before a new one, if at all.

We just need another one that's done differently. That's why Colosseum was so great, XD too.

The next pokemon game would definitely be on the 3ds.All main pokemon games are made for the Gameboy family and the 3ds is the latest console in the Gameboy family. Also, I hope it is on the 3ds :):):)

Maybe it might be a new portable console(but that's not likely:cry:). If anything they might make a VR pokemon game(also unlikely:p). The 3ds might be the best bet for now:playful:

I also think that 7th gen would not come on the <new> 3ds either. When 5th gen was announced, the 3ds was released but it still came on the ds. So, I think that 7th gen would be on the original 3ds and 8th gen would be on the new 3ds:):)

It's going to be a 6th gen game, not 7th..we can tell when the 7th gen is coming by clearly looking at anime episodes. Maybe something for the wii u would be cool...

I don't think they will ever make a pokemon game for the Wii u for The time being because I think that it would not fit well with a console. Pokemon has a catch em all theme and the 3ds you can carry around doing streetpass battles and getting dlc pokemon, like in the game you travel to a lot of places catching pokemon. On the Wii u you can't really Cary it everywhere you go so I don't think they will make one in it. It would be cool to see but probably.
With that said, I'm hoping the next pokemon game is either z or a completely new one not a remake
