Nidoking moveset advice

Hello, all! I'm training some pokemon for battling, and one of them is a Nidoking. I have him Modest, max EVs in Sp. Atk and Speed, running Sheer Force + Life Orb.

Wanted to know what's a good moveset for him. Im thinking:
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam
-Sludge Wave
-Flamethrower

Any advice?
 
Replace Thunderbolt for Earth Power and consider Superpower over Flamethrower so Nidoking can act as a Blissey lure.

How can I get Superpower on Nidoking without the move tutors from ORAS?

That's the only way to get it in X/Y/ORAS.

You can start a thread in the Nookling Junction to ask someone to teach you the move. Move tutor moves cost battle points or whatever ORAS calls it, so the person doing it for you may want Play Coins in return, ;)
 
I know Superpower is usually recommanded for powerhouses and I have quite a few Pokemon with that move, but for my Nidoking, I run Flamethrower over Superpower. I don't like Superpower, you have to use it as last-ditch or switch-out after to reegain power, like Draco Meteor. Why does anybody use it?!?!

Superpower is recommended so that you don't get walled by a Blissey. It is a physical move, so you'll be able to get rid of blissey fairly quickly since it has a bad defense stat. :d

O_O I see. I use Gardevoir's Focus Blast which usually either OHKO's it or 2KO's it for OU. For UU or below though, I guess Superpower is good. I still don't like moves that lower down things >.< Most of all Draco Meteor :(
