Nintendo Direct E3 2018 Discussion

Nintendo's E3 Direct just ended, and they announced some new stuff!

List of games announced:

• Daemon X Machina
• Fire Emblem: Three Houses
• Xenoblade Chronicles 2 DLC: Torna: The Golden Countries
• Super Mario Party
• Fortnite - Available today
• Overcooked! 2
• Killer Queen Black
• Hollow Knight available today
• New Octopath Traveler demo - June 14th
• DragonBall FighterZ
• Ninjala (was announced an hour prior)
• Carcasonne
• Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

I think it was okay, but outside of DragonBall FighterZ, Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it lacked some announcements (Smash took most of the direct, even though it's awesome). Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is featuring every character ever featured, Daisy as an Echo Character (which are variations of a character, like Pit and Dark Pit for example), Inklings and Ridley! Also some Assist Trophies were added, many returning stages and more!
But what did you think about it?

To be honest, I still can’t breath after hearing about Fortnite (because I’m now addicted to the game severely). And don’t even get me started on Smash. I literally couldn’t get up off my floor for ten minutes or so after all the announcements were done. I’m so hyped for Smash!

I wonder if fortnite fits on my switch.. (probably not)
Smash is a big deal. I do hope they have at least ten newcomers. They allready have 3, so is ten too much to ask? And many characters seem almost completely unchanged.

Fortnite didn't deserve a E3 spot. Other than Smash bros, it's more like meh, though Super Mario Party is good from what they shown us. And Miis are still in Smash? I thought they were gonna got cut and Maybe Along with Wii Fit Trainer.

Firstly, I would pay any amount of money to improve our internet, but that option isn't available for me at the moment. Also, amen to Animal Crossing for Switch! When will they announce it?! I guess since they're still fluently working on events and other things for Pocket Camp, it might be a little longer. ;-;

I was hyped for Smash 5 and the Let’s Go Pikachu gameplay ,but I was hoping for a new Luigi’s Mansion remake trailer.

While there were a lot of games shown, Smash and Xenoblade were the only ones I cared about.
It's a shame we didn't see any Metroid Prime 4...

But seriously...
OH MY GOD THEY BROUGHT SNAKE BACK
AND PICHU
AND THEY CHANGED ZELDAS DESIGN
AND THEY MADE THE FINAL SMASHES BETTER
EVERYONE IS BACK.

So from the games I want that are on the list I'm in for a wild ride and will probably run out of games I want afterward. Like what they said about WWI ending all wars that's what it's like for me and these games. From what I see of the Smash Ultimate tourney it's going to be a very jumping oriented game sort of like an upgraded Smash 64 imo. I'm glad they at least acknowledged Sukapon's existence and added stuff to each Final Smash but I don't think I like Ridley's introduction (mostly because I'm not a big Metroid fan). And the dessert course for next year (Fire Emblem) looked like your typical anime with some new mechanic added that looks easy to grasp so hopefully it's a good game for newcomers. 8.9/10 Nintendo.

Mostly I'm excited about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In fact, when I saw the video about upcoming rosters, I'm stunned and amazed when knowing that every fighters from different Smash Bros. are all in. Even though I'm a bit disappointed that the Direct's over after all the Smash reveals because I'm expecting tad bit more announced games afterwards, I'm still hyped regardless.

On other note, I'm glad when seeing games that previously weren't available on Switch are announced in the Direct, like Dragonball Z Fighters and Fortnite among others. I might also keep an eye on Fire Emblem: Three Houses while I'm at it.

Its better than the year of botw. Did everyone forget about that? Botw was pretty much it.
