Nintendo 3DS Legend

According to IGN,
Legend of Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto mentioned that Nintendo has unannounced ideas for another 3DS game in the franchise at a shareholders meeting last month
"... We are gradually changing the structure of The Legend of Zelda series, and we are preparing to newly evolve the series for Wii U," said Miyamoto. "In addition to that, we have ideas for Nintendo 3DS which we have not announced yet, so I hope you will look forward to them."

Nintendo producer Eiji Aonuma has teased a Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask remake for years now on 3DS, but there was no mention of that during E3. The company instead focused on Hyrule Warriors and The Legend of Zelda Wii U at the annual gaming convention last month.
What are your thoughts about this? What do you think the new Zelda game will be for the 3DS? Let me know in the replies below.

When I heard this I got really excited. I think something set in the Wind Waker style might be a good bet, highly stylised, not too far from A Link Between Worlds, same freedom type gameplay elements and such. Definitely excited to see what this can turn into

Yeah. I also am quite excited, and the game we all have been anticipating is Majora's Mask 3D, and Nintendo knows it.
I atleast hope that the next game will be a new tradition in the Zelda series.

@AliTheAce I want Majora's Mask 3D so badly, its one of the only ones I havent played and remaking it for the 3DS would be perfect

I see. I also haven't finished Majora's Mask on the N64. I am not playing it so there are some surprises left when I play it on the 3DS :D

I loved wind waker, it's my favorite zelda game! They've been doing a lot of remakes of games in the past few years (Wind Waker HD, Ocarina of time 3d, link between worlds) so I think they might do a new game. I really hope so. Well I have enjoyed past games and their remakes I really want a new story before more remakes. I'm pretty sure I'll get it but I'm hoping for a new story!

Majora's Mask 3D seems likely. I haven't played it before, but I have played OOT3D. OOT was definitely a masterpiece and I would love to play another title on my 3DS.

Well considering the company that made Ocarina of Time 3D (Grezzo) put a job listing asking for people to help them create a legend, I think Majoras Mask 3D is a pretty good bet.

It better be majora's mask! If not I hope it's maybe a new zelda game! But who knows what Nintendo has planned? :)

I've been doing some research and I think it will be majoras mask if it's a remake but if it's not a remake i think something with skyward sword based on what they said

Now that its mentioned, seeing something in Wind Waker's style, even if its not a remake, would be awesome on the 3DS

I want it released soon! I have never played that game and I want to now! The only legend of zelda games I've ever played were the legend of zelda ocarina of time and wind waker hd! Both are great games but now I must play this!!! >:D

I would honestly rather see Oracle of Ages and Seasons redone and remastered for the 3DS or even Minish Cap. Majoras Mask would be fine but I always like OoT more.

Meanwhile I would love the idea of Majora's Mask 3D, I suppose they will bring another 2D Zelda using their new 2D formula...

Sounds exciting! Most likely he's talking about majoras mask 3D, which is practically confirmed by Nintendo themselves! He might be talking about a brand new Zelda game entirely... Time will tell
