So for some odd reason Nintendo have been discontinuing a lot of amino. Some of the amount discontinued are villager marth Wii fit trainer little Mac Captain Falcon fox lucario and Pit. Why would nintendo be doing all of this. Where they not ready and had manufacturing problems. Or where they being to cocky. This is setting a very bad image for Nintendo's reputation. Was nintendo ready for amiibo?

Maybe the director just didn't like how they looked haha

If that were the case they wouldn't discontinue them.

It's not about that. They're discontinuing a few amiibos because of shelves space. It's not about the amiibos' designs or anything; it's about shelves spaces. As you know, there will be quite a few amiibos in the weeks to come, and think about it: Would supermarkets have enough space to store all of the amiibos ? Definitely no, I guess.

So, that's why they are discontinuing a few amiibos. And when you take a look to what I just said, you'll also realize that it's the same for video games. Popular/New ones are displayed and available, while old ones are removed from sale.

The old games are removed because they are not popular. But the reason for some of them were because of faultyness or apparently they are from non popular nintendo games. I would believe all of those except for pit and lucario

If it's to make space for new ones, it's way too soon, as many fans are still searching for them =/ I don't know what's going on with nintendo, but it looks like they were not really ready no...

Also, they would just put them on hold not discontinue if it were for shelf room

Nintendo always have problems stocking pretty much everything related to Wii U nowadays. I'd say it's an issue of shelf room because if you add up all of the Amiibos they will have produced, they will not be able to get all of those out into stores and be able to sell enough of all of their Amiibos. I'd say they will have kept their main selling Amiibos like Mario, Link and Kirby while discontinuing some Amiibos they won't really need to make room for new Amiibos. Besides, have Nintendo even confirmed the discontuining of the Amiibos? It could be that they are indefinitely put on hold until demand is high enough and they have enough confirmed shelf room for them. They definitely should have small stock supplied on their official store though, I'm sure people would order from there to justify it. (And stop scalpers...)
